Would there be Anything Better Than P1 Gen4 These days if you Need the Best Screen / Best Speakers & Best build quality for a Decent Price?

I can get P1 Gen4 in what Appears very decent condition for 500gbp (600 Eur)

Spec:

i7-11850H

64GB RAM

512GB SSD

NVIDIA RTX A2000

16" WQUXGA (3840 × 2400) IPS Display

Snapdragon X55 5G Modem

I can probably sell one of the 32GB RAM chips from it for around 100gbp so it would cost me 400GBP in the end probably.

This supposedly also has one of the best screens/speakers you can get on a Thinkpad? Every other Thinkpad I have had has had the worst garbage Display/Speakers immaginable :(

Anyone Upgraded from Instinct 3 to Fenix 8? What did you Found Much better / Worse etc?

I had an Instinct 3 for a few months when it came out ,however I sold it, now I kinda want to try another Garmin watch.

I know the Specs of both of them and what they have/don't have.

If someone has used both, what do you like better on each , in which areas you preferred which?

The New Daily Cardio Load feature on GW is Total Garbage...

For example Fitbit now has a similar feature - the Cardio Load score slowly fills up as you go about your day and are Active. Even if you don't track any exercise but just raise your HR by doing some kind of heavier tasks around your House - your Score fills up and it gives you a VERY good indication of how actually active you are during each day.

But not on the Galaxy Watch - it's completely Useless on GW and not fit for Purpose.

GW Devs, please Fix this , Learn from FitBit and make it usable...

I'm a fairly large AliExpress Affiliate with Mostly EU Audience - Orders are Down about 3x Across Everything since the New 3 Eur Fees.

in the past 10 days it has tanked to almost 3x less orders compared to the same time-frame last month.

The 1.July which was Choice day was especially Brutal - Usually it's the best day of the whole month since everyone is waiting for it to order at the cheapest prices possible. 4.5x Less Total sales for me Compared to 1.June

Unless AliExpress Acts fast and transports the most popular small items to EU warehouses as well - It's going to be very Rough for AliExpress in Europe :(

It's NOT Extra 3 Euros per Item, but 3.60 Euros + Raising to 6.05 Euros from 1. November for Each Item...

VAT is added on top of the 3/5 euros for Extra Salt in the Wound ;)

The main driving force that pressured the European Commission to kill the de minimis threshold and forced you to pay these Scam Fees is the massive monopolistic corporate lobby group in Brussels called EuroCommerce.

They ran an aggressive, well funded lobbying campaign called the #Compliance4All.

When you look at who actually sits on the governing body for this lobby, you will find Europe's biggest retail and grocery monopolies pulling the strings. According to their official website, this nasty group is packed with corporate lobbyists, including:

Parent Corporate Member Key Retail Brands & Subsidiaries Annual Revenue
Schwarz Group Lidl, Kaufland, PreZero €185.6 Billion
REWE Group BILLA, REWE, Penny, Toom Baumarkt, BIPA €100.4 Billion
Ahold Delhaize Albert Heijn, Delhaize, Alfa Beta, Mega Image, Maxi, Albert €92.35 Billion
Carrefour Group Carrefour, Carrefour Market, Express, Atacadão, Cora, Match €91.48 Billion
Tesco PLC Tesco, Tesco Express, One Stop €82 Billion
Inditex Zara, Pull&Bear, Massimo Dutti, Bershka, Stradivarius €36 Billion
H&M Group H&M, COS, Monki, Weekday, & Other Stories, ARKET €21 Billion
Colruyt Group Colruyt, Okay, Spar €11.19 Billion

They successfully convinced the EU to pass this law so they have Less competition.

Whoever Passed/ Approved this Bill needs to be Investigated Immediately, I'm fairly sure they have bribed TONS of people in The High EU positions to get this $hit Up and kill off the competition...

Here's Exactly who is Responsible for the new €3 / €5 Customs fees, Here is who they are and how to hit back at them!

I dug around a bit in the public paper trail to find out who exactly bought and paid for this law to screw over everyday consumers.

The answer boils down to greedy monopolies with political connections being afraid of competition.

The corpos behind the mask.

The main driving force that pressured the European Commission to kill the de minimis threshold and forced you to pay 3 euros for a 2 euro pack of double adhesive stickers is a massive monopolistic corporate lobby group in Brussels called EuroCommerce.

They ran an aggressive, well funded lobbying campaign called the #Compliance4All. They did this because they were absolutely terrified of people buying affordable goods directly from global sellers instead of paying their bloated monopoly markups.

They successfully convinced the EU to pass this law to bully us back into their stores and buy their heavily marked up crap.

How We can legally fight back:

Don't let them force you back into their overpriced supermarkets and clothing stores. And share this with your friends. Use filters to buy products that are being shipped from Europe.

Boycott the likes of Schwartz and Zara and buy from local stores. Going to small so called "Mom-and-pop" stores for necessities keeps the money in your local community and puts it in your neighbors pockets, not those of some greedy corporation that does everything it can to skip taxes and stifle real competition. Many of these disgusting corporations already squeeze local farmers massively so they can make massive margins on dairy and other products. They are already in hot water with regulators for monopolistic practices.

Demand that these monopolies be hit with extra taxes, like a progressive retail tax, since many of them like Schwarz already have bad reputations for unfair competition and many national level politicians in the EU want to hit THEM with extra taxes you can support whoever wants to put such a law in place.

If you must shop there stay away from big ticket items like clothing and power tools and make sure you aggressively buy discounted necessities only.

Spread the word and tell everyone what disgusting lobbying these corrupt, monopolistic thieves and middlemen are up to. While you are at it, remind everyone how this cartel squeezes small farmers and shops constantly.

Sunlight is the best disinfectant, so make sure you spread this message far and wide!

Starve them out and punish them.

Why did you get a Pixel watch over Samsung Galaxy Watch?

I had a GW7 ,also recently picked up a Pixel watch 3 for a very good price - Just to try it out.

And I'm kinda Not impressed with the Pixel watch compared to GW?

-The Build quality feels MUCH Cheaper on the Pixel watch compared to GW , also it doesn't have sapphire, the Turnwheel button especially feels kinda cheap.

-The strap closing mechanism and the strap itself also looks higher quality / better on GW

-The software design doesn't looks nowhere as good and it has WAYY less features than a GW. I miss so many features that the GW has. Overall software is WAY more limited on the Pixel watch and nowhere as nice.

- It doesn't feels nearly as smooth as my GW7 as well

-Stepcounter undercounts like crazy when just walking around the house / in short bursts, for long walks it's the same , but the stepcounter overall is nowhere as good as on GW.

The only area where I feel the Pixel watch is better is in the Sleep tracking, when it comes to the rest - it feels like you are using 2-3x cheaper watch and not a same price watch.

Anything Can be Done to Fix it? ( Cheaply)

It just cracked on its own from Closing/opening the screen - I only use it on a Desk, never take with me anywhere and it has never been dropped/banged :(

It's a P15V Gen2

The screen on the other side works still just fine, but I want to armour/fix it somehow so it doesn't cracks the Display itself one day :(

The Weather App SUX So Bad on Samsung Phones... Anything you click, it Directs you to the Weather.com Website!

If I want to Check the weather details In more Detail - I can't do that in the app like you can on other phones.

Instead It opens that stupid website. They for sure have made some kind of deal with that weather website...Profit over User Experience :(

Galaxy Book vs Thinkpads - those who have had both , what do you like better on each?

I have been using some kind of thinkpad for the past 15 years (only because I could get them for dirt cheap in used market)

However Possibly looking at something like Used Galaxy Book 5 Pro as I heard they have great displays.

I Like the Keyboards on thinkpads, but the other stuff... I do not like... Terrible Displays, Terrible Speakers, Terrible Battery also under load they are very noisy.

If anyone has used both, can you share what you like better on each?

Galaxy Book 5 Pro vs 3 Pro - How much / What kind of a Difference is there between them?

I often see the 3 Pro in used market can be had for almost 2x cheaper than the 5 Pro.

Maybe anyone has used both?

What Would I be missing?

The CPU power is plenty for me for both and I see both have same Great display ( I'm looking at 16')

Long Term Smartwatch Users - Do you also only Mostly use your watch to Tell Time/Date/Stepcount?

I have had some kind of smartwatch for the past 4-5 years and I have tried tons of different ones, at first when I started to use them I tried to use most of the features.

Now I just wear one Mostly to Check my Stepcount + to see time/Date. Starting a timer or checking weather forecast sometimes also is very useful

But the rest of the stuff... I genuinely Do not care about any of the Apps or Health Gimmick even in the slightest - apart from the Stepcount.

Apart from the Stepcounter All the ''health'' stuff/tracking/recovery has been nothing but a gimmick in my Experience on every watch I have tried and none of those features have really given me any real benefit in any real way.

Long Term GW Owners - Do you also only Mostly use your watch to Tell Time/Date/Stepcount?

I have had some kind of Galaxy watch for the past 4 years. ( I have had GW5 , GW7 , GW8)

For the first 6months I actively tried to use most of the features it has , as the time went I stopped caring about most of it.

Now I just wear one Mostly to Check my Stepcount + to see time/Date. Starting a timer or checking weather forecast sometimes also is very useful

Is Blink even making ANY Money from Selling their Cameras?

For example I bought a bundle of Doorbell 2k+ , Outdoor 2k+ and Sync Core module alltogether for 35 euros on the Recent offer + Free shipping on top of it at all.

And... These cameras Do not look cheaply built at all...looks very premium build quality.

The 5 Lithium batteries that they included with this kit alone are worth almost $10 , Free Charger as well inside.
