What is your favorite strategy?

I’m fairly new to the game, and had just won 3 games In a row doing this. (Journeys 7-9). I use the tumor deck, but try to cut every card besides 8’s. The growth 8 lets me discard everything on the table. I use ‘the family’ face cards, and try to activate the family card as soon as possible, allowing me to play 21 purely using that. When my deck is cut down enough I’m able to find that card every hand. Not exactly the most ingenious strategy, but it’s been effective so far.

Why is Gnawed Leaf never in discussions for the best item in the game?

I always see “sacred heart or brimstone?” But never “gnawed leaf or everything else in the game?” It’s the closest item to a guaranteed win. You simply need 1 orbital and it’s GG.

When corpse mother brings you down to 1 health brimstone isn’t gonna save your 40+ minute run, but gnawed leaf will.

Oh how I love not finding the vouchers I need

I had to take a +3 hand size skip to survive the previous anti. I hate this game. 10 antes and retcon or antimatter, or a voucher skip was nowhere to be found.
