How do you improve clarity in games without overexplaining things?

A Streamer played my puzzle game and pointed out that some mechanics/puzzles weren't immediately clear to understand.

Because of that, I added short cinematics that briefly show what changed after activating certain mechanisms, and it improved the readability of some puzzles a lot.

I'm curious how other devs approach this kind of problem.

What do you usually do when a mechanic or puzzle isn't clear enough at first glance?

Is it better to update a Steam page gradually or all at once?

I've been reworking my game's visuals (new biomes, improved style, new mechanics etc...), but only part of it is finished so far.

Right now my Steam page still shows the older version.

Would you:

• Update the page as you go

• Or wait until everything is consistent and polished?

Curious what people usually do here.

I've been working on a new forest biome and tried to make each mechanic interact with the others:

• Pullable mushrooms that launch you depending on how far you stretch them

• Bouncy mushrooms that redirect you (or your arrow) on contact

• Water sprinklers that make mushrooms grow, but their range changes depending on how many are active

I'm trying to keep things readable without over-explaining.

Do these feel intuitive at first glance, or a bit confusing?
