Build so far. Thoughts and improvements? 340xi.

My biggest aesthetic things right now are coilovers (st bc or Bilstein b14) and getting these 437m wheels to a different colour ( I did NOT paint them black fyi)

Have a friend selling some side skirts for cheap too

Any suggestions?

Help with 437m wheels.

I got these months ago but wasn’t sure if the guy powder coated or painted. Not a fan of the all black tbh, wanted the two tone silver black like OEM. So I got some acetone and dapped a bit onto the spoke here and the paint came off.

Now my question is - since it is likely paint do I try to get it off (outer spokes only as face is black) myself and risk the acetone stripping the original paint, or do I take it somewhere and pay to get it professionally refinished (gonna be $700 at least).

Yes I know they need a good clean as well.

What do you guys think? Will the acetone strip the original paint off as well?

Etransfer disabled, need to re activate in branch.

Had my etransfer disabled due to a false fraud claim, now my account is active again but e transfer is still frozen. The branch that I dealt with which is my home branch, is completely useless. They don’t answer calls or respond to emails.

What should I do to get it re activated?

B58 340xi. How often you guys change your oil? What about spark plugs?

Currently at 56k miles, probably need to change the sparks soon, I have the 6 NGK plugs, maybe next oil change around 57k?

Heard FCP euro lets you send your old oil back for store credit, can anyone attest to this?

F30 M performance front lip/splitter install inquiry

Picked up a 1 piece gloss black lip for about $130 usd. It didn’t come with any mounting hardware (tape or screws).

What is the best way to go about installing it? Mind you I live in canada so winters are rough, but roads r cleared quick. It’s on stock ride height. Thought I’d try to install myself before paying someone, it is a very common piece so if anyone had advice or experience please let me know!

My local mechanic is willing to do a brake service for about $220 ish cad. This is what would be involved:

  • removing pads and cleaning contact surfaces
  • regrease moving parts
  • sand down pads to remove any high spots
  • inspect for any seized components

Would this help my stopping distance? There’s no shaking noise or vibration.

Does an unpaid Toronto parking ticket on a plate I no longer own affect my credit or follow me to a new plate?

I got it in August but got a new car in September, and the plate is no longer in use. I appealed it but it was rejected, it’s for $120…not cheap.

I received a Toronto parking ticket on a vehicle I no longer own, the plate has since been surrendered, what are my legal obligations and what are the realistic enforcement mechanisms available to the City of Toronto?

It’s $120, not cheap for a ticket.
