People always talk about how barbaric female circumcision is but male circumcision is completely normalized in America.

It should be illegal for parents to circumcise their children because it's irreversible.

What kind of psychopath decided to cut off the skin of the baby's dick. What's next? Cutting off eyelids?

A boy I was babysitting was bawling in pain from his glans being severely irritated.

For some context, I was 13 at the time of this story. I learned what GM was when I was 10, and I was immediately against it. By the time I was 11, I'd done so much research that I 100% knew more about the foreskin and MGM than the doctors who perform it. The boy I was babysitting was 3. This was at his house, I was watching him for about 6 hours, no one else in the house. I wish his parents could have seen him crying. Although I doubt that would have made them think about their decision anyway 🙄

Here's the story:

Me and him are playing with legos. Gradually he begins seeming frustrated, like something is upsetting him. Then he keeps adjusting his crotch area with a very agitated look on his face and making noises almost like he's in pain. This goes on for a bit and I'm thinking maybe he has to go potty but doesn't want to stop playing.

So I tell him to go to the bathroom, he says he doesn't have to, I tell him to just try anyway. So he runs off to the bathroom, meanwhile I start making him lunch. About 10 minutes go by and he's still in the bathroom, so I walk to the bathroom. It's a big house with some dense ass walls, and the bathroom is far from the kitchen. So I didn't hear him crying until I got closer.

I come in and he's sitting on the floor (clothed) holding that area and crying genuine tears. Not the type of crying you hear when a kid is tired and angry you told them "no" to something, the type of crying you hear when they're in pain. If you're a parent or you work with young kids, you know what I'm talking about.

I knew he was cut because I had babysat him several times before this when he wasn't potty trained so obviously I had to change his diaper. But my first thought when I saw him crying was "Oh, maybe he has a UTI or something."

So anyway I walk in, see him crying and immediately pick him up and try to calm him down. I'm asking him what's wrong and he's saying "it hurts". I ask him if he can show me, he does, and it looks like- y'know when you would bust up your knees as a kid and they'd be super scratched, with the epidermis layer of skin ripped up? That's sorta what his glans looked like. Really really rough and irritated looking. It looked painful.

When I ask him to point to where it hurts he doesn't point to the urethra he just places his finger on the top his glans. So after seeing it and him telling me where the pain is it finally it clicks in my head, that this is glans irritation.

In that moment the sheer amount of anger I felt that this was done to him is hard to describe. A combination of sadness and rage.

After he showed me I picked him up and held him again. I'm usually very good at comforting and then distracting a kid when they're upset. But there was no doing that with him, he was deeply bothered by the irritated sensation he was feeling.

The sobbing continued for maybe 30 minutes, then maybe 10 minutes of softer crying, then he fell asleep.

About an hour later his mom comes home, and he's still napping. I was going to tell her what happened, but I just couldn't bring myself to say anything. Reminder that I was 13 at the time so I wasn't nearly as mature.

I loathed his mother's mere existence. Fuck her for what she put her precious baby boy through right after he was born. She will never know what she stole from her son and the pain she's cast on him.

I AT THE AGE OF FUCKING 13, somehow had more maternal instinct with this 3 year old than that child's own mother did.

What is wrong with this world bro.

I know this sounds like a troll, or some weird fantasy, but I swear I'm being so genuinely serious.

Every time I do weighted leg raises either vertically with that piece of equipment (idk what it's called) or laying on the ground, after about 10 reps, I cum. I'm not joking.. I literally have an orgasm.

This is a real thing btw, it's called a coregasm. Look it up, I'm being 100% serious.

I don't know what other ab exercises to do. I don't want to do the endurance type of ab exercises like planks and all those 10-minute ab circuits we see online. I want to train my abs in the hypertrophy rep range.

I really need advice, I've been neglecting training my abs for a while because of this.

Idrk how to start this story. I'll just tell it bluntly.

My younger cousin (4 years younger) was cut the same day he was born. During the circumcision he lost an exceptional amount of blood (even WITH the vitamin K shot), threw up and began choking on his vomit, and then passed out.

He was then put in the NICU for about 5 days. I don't know exactly what he was hooked up too, but I believe he was on oxygen and probably some sort of bag providing calories and nutrients.

After 5 days he got out of the NICU, but he refused to latch onto both a bottle, and onto his mom. He just looked half dead all the time.

After nearly 24 hours of him not drinking anything (babies are supposed to eat every couple hours), they had to force-feed him formula through a dropper. I intentionally said "force-feed" because he would spit it back up and scream bloody murder.

This went on for about another week, he was barely getting any formula at all. So he lost 2 whole pounds.

Eventually, he was able to latch. But it took nearly 2 weeks, and he lost 2 entire fucking pounds.

Also I want to note that my younger cousin was born perfectly healthy. It's not like he had some sort of predisposition, he was normal.

The amount of times I've heard people say "I supported circumcision until I saw a video of it being performed. I could never do that to my son" is crazy

There's also been MULTIPLE times where I've shown a friend or someone in my life a video of it being performed and they were so immediately against it after.

Of course, there's a lot of people who are just THAT ignorant, or simply don't care that they're torturing their son. But if more people saw the raw truth, things would change faster.

This is not a stab at science and clinical studies, but rather a reminder that we should all be able to think independently. Studies and research are crucial, but you also can't allow your thoughts and opinions to be purely dictated by a strangers write-up.

We all instinctively and subconsciously know that circumcision is wrong. But cultural influence persuades us and we're taught to not trust our own gut feeling, but rather look to others to form OUR OWN opinion.

I'm sure most of us in this community have at one point or another watched one of those videos where a baby is screaming in agonizing pain while being mutilated. That's plenty enough to come to the conclusion that circumcision is painful, and unethical.

I think so many pro-cutters just lack the ability to think independently in general. They're looking at other peoples opinions to then form their own. It obscures their ability to look at things as they are.

The best example of this is how most pro-mutilators are against FGM but are in support of MGM. Both are performed for the exact same reasons, both cause the victims pain, both are a violation of autonomy, both cause sexual dysfunction and other negative effects; but they've been conditioned by the media and culture to think one is BENEFICIAL, and one is horrific.

You don't ALWAYS need a study, logic is often enough to determine right vs wrong... but either way there's tons of research showing the negative effects of MGM so either way it's absurd.

I've used this so many times, and then they just stand there barely able to wrap their heads around what I just said like 😮

The point is:

There are 6,800 mammal species. Only whales, dolphins, marsupials, elephants, and bats are born without a foreskin. The reason for this is in these select few species, their penis does not rest flaccid externally; their penis rests flaccid in an internal cavity, unexposed to the outer world. Therefore we cannot compare their anatomy to humans.

But, every single mammal species whose penises are external 24/7 just like humans penises are, have foreskin.

What every single mammal species has in common, is their penile glands are protected from the external world at all times besides during erection.

Do you mean to tell me that evolution made the same mistake across all 6,800 mammal species by making sure their glands are protected?

And did evolution make the exact same extremely specific mistake with foreskin by giving it to (roughly) 6,700 mammal species?

Or, if viewing it from a religious standpoint:

Did God give all 6,800 mammals glan protection by accident? Do you think humans know better than your God?

"Oh but my religion requires me to do this to my child!"

Your religion requires you to hit your child?

Your religion requires women and girls to cover their entire bodies even in extreme heat?

Your religion requires you to painfully and non consensually remove a part of a baby's body?

Okay then, your religion is evil.

My goal is to make r/intactinfo a genuinely informative subreddit where anyone can scroll through this sub and become more knowledgeable on why being intact is healthy, normal, and beneficial. Or, learn about the cons of genital mutilation.

I have not fully set up this subreddit yet, so I do apologize. But if anyone would like to share anything educational/informative they have to post, even if it's just a cross-post, I'd really appreciate it! ♥️
