Love what this could potentially mean. Would love to see how Dodger bandwagons in OC will react, seeing as they’ll be forced to admit that they willingly support an out-of-market team that has hurt Hispanic communities, instead of saying “it’s between two LA teams.”

Studying/working at Disneyland?

How do you guys generally feel about studying/working at Disneyland? I’m a Magic Key holder who wants to use his pass as much as possible, but I’m working 36 hours per week and doing 15 units of school this semester. I definitely wanna make the most of my pass so I was wondering if it’s generally frowned upon to study or work from Disney. Please let me know if you guys have any suggestions, thank you!

Edit: Just to clarify, I’m not taking a full work setup or any calls. I’m just a college student wanting to know if I can knock out easy assignments or study chemistry there.

How to prepare for PHYS 100A?

Second post; I've never taken a physics class before, and I've heard horrible things about the professor I got (Jamali). How should I prepare for this class during the summer? Again, thank you!

How to prepare for CHEM 220B?

Gonna post a few of these but I'm curious how to prepare for CHEM 220B with Schwans. I got an A in 220A but I don't think I remember a single thing except for the very basics, so which topics should I focus on before the semester starts? Thank you!

How to remove these scratches? Gray 2025 Honda Civic. Please give recommended products.

Sister can’t park…not sure if I need to take it to a professional or if it’s just done for.

What else is a young Hispanic man supposed to do to win a game?

I’m selective with my shots too, I don’t even fire off every time I’m at the blue line. They’re all shots from the point or 1-on-1 attempted wrap arounds.

Where am I supposed to talk to people? I hear “people don’t wanna socialize” about everywhere I go and it’s getting in my head.

TLDR: I set out on a goal to approach more people and socialize, but people in each respective social circle tell me that I should leave others alone and not try to be extroverted. I’m not sure what to believe anymore and I want help/clarification.

I spend my time in 4 different places: school, work, cafes, Disneyland. I don’t have a lot of friends because I distanced myself from my high school friends, but I’m a pretty likable (for lack of a better word) person. At work, I’m forced to talk to my coworkers, and I have no trouble socializing there so I’m relatively well liked because I’m forced out of my bubble. My issue isn’t socializing, my issue is approaching people because I just don’t know how.

For some backstory, I finished my first year of college and I made 0 friends because I never talked to anybody, and I felt incredibly lonely all year. So then, I set on a goal to get rid of my social anxiety by just talking to new people. I was always the annoying one in middle school and early high school, so I know how to not come off as abrasive because I had to learn how to be weary of that. I never talk to people with closed off body language, I’m pretty soft spoken, and I’m a somewhat good looking young guy. I’ve asked about how to approach people in each of these settings and here’s what I’ve gotten:

School: “people are there to get a degree, don’t bother them”
Cafes: “people are there to study, don’t bother them”
Disneyland: “thank you for leaving us alone” or “nobody’s there to socialize”

As someone who struggles with talking to new people, I wanna hear what’s actually normal or expected in such public settings, because I know I’m not a weirdo but I never wanna come off as such. I like to think I know the fine line between harmless socializing or being annoying, but I am starting to have some doubts.

Unreal Guardians wait times? Does it go by this slow or does it move quicker?

I wanted to see how many times I can do this ride in a full day at Disney, but right now it’s looking the answer’s gonna be 5…I know it’s Grad Nite tomorrow, so will the lines be shorter in the morning or just as long?

Never played hockey before and can’t skate: is rollerblading a good gateway into ice skating and eventually learning hockey?

I tried skating 3-4 years ago (when I was 14) and I couldn’t even move, but I’ve become a huge hockey fan AND rehabbed from a hip injury since then so I feel like I could pick it up more naturally now.

Repping a sports team is never that deep!

I wasn’t gonna post about this because finals distracted me but I just remembered so I’m pissed again.

I’ll preface this little rant by saying some important things: I am an Angels fan. I hate the Dodgers. I will never publicly talk trash about the Dodgers. I will never chirp someone else unless they chirp me first, and I’ll always keep it playful because it’s just sports. That simple!

I was walking up the ramp near Brotman Hall coming from the parking lot wearing an Angels hat. I’m looking kinda down and straight like a normal human being when I hear some random dude ahead of me yell “The Angels suck”, so I just replied “Yeah, we do.” Then I look up and he’s walking straight towards me saying stuff like “Fuck the Angels” and all that so I got out of the way, but he reached over to knock my hat off and kinda palm my face? I don’t know if he was trying to punch me or slap me but he did both and knocked my glasses off too. Just kinda embarrassing even though campus was already pretty empty by that point. I know how to handle Dodgers fans, I know they tend to be pretty ghetto and violent, so you just have to smile and let them feel smug. But my goodness, this pissed me off so bad.

All this to say, it’s really just sports. I hate LA sports with every fiber of my being and it’s still not enough to even get me to talk trash to someone in public, because it’s really never that deep. Rant over.
