Would adding this decrease the value of my townhouse when I go to sell?

First Time Home Owner here. I want to install a electric range in my kitchen but because I could only get a center unit, there isn't a good way to route the duct and exhaust vent. I can't route it to the side and routing it to the back is more expensive plus the duct would be visible inside the house. The only is is to add the vent in the front but now its too visible. Would the vent being visible from the front decrease the value of my home if I ever go to sell it even though I'm adding something the home didn't have initially? I added some example pictures. Please give me some advice, should I do this? I cook quite a bit so don't like the oil and smell staying in the house but also don't want to hurt the resell value.

Vacuum Recommendations

Hi,

Any Recommendations for Cordless vacuums? I’ve used a Dyson V10 before but main issue has been the battery life and how expensive it is to replace. I also didn’t need all of the accessories that came with it but is Dyson still be best to go with? what about Shark or the Ryobi Vacuum? I have 2 of the one+ batteries.

looking for good battery life / easily changeable, good suction for carpets, and minor accessories.

Recommended Tools

Starting a FTC Team. Looking to see what are some of the tools we'll need. We're starting with AndyMark drive base. I'm thinking screwdrivers and wrenches. Will we need some kind of strong drill?

Also what is a good storage system for parts? The drive base kit came today and there is a lot of stuff.

P2S or X2D for a Mechanical Engineer that designs for Robotics.

I know the P2S will do everything I need but if I have the money should I just buy the X2D? Mainly would use the dual nozzle for printing support interfaces and the actively heat chamber and exhaust fan seem really good if I decide to use ABS or ASA in the future.

Best Printer for FTC

Hi FTC,

I working on starting a FTC team at a private school i teach at. I'm working on building up a shop space and tool sets to start 2026-2027 season. Looking into a good 3D printer for the team. I've 3D Printed for about 5 years now and personally use a Bambulabs P1S. I'll looking to get a newer model to the team and I'm stuck between a P2S or X2D. I know the P2S will work perfectly fine but my question is if I have the funding, should I just go ahead and get the X2D? In my mind there may be need to materials like ABS and ASA along with wanting a dual nozzle to print support interfaces. I did VEX Robotics in High School so not too sure the span of 3D printing material FTC will use.

Any suggestions to make it look better and a better tix aside from what I did?

Additional Principal Payment Tip

Hi,

Just bought a house on a 30 year Mortgage Fixed Rate. Question for making additional Principal Payments. Which is more cost effective and will lead to me paying less interest in the long run along with paying down the house faster?

- Just simply make Additional Monthly Payments towards the principal each month.

- Take the additional I would have paid towards the principal, put it into a High Yield Savings Account or any other account that can net interest income, and make a large payment towards the principal at the end of the year.
