Question about Delco 10 SI rebuild.

I’ve watched several videos on how to rebuild one of these bad boys. Looks like mine is shot or at least the rectifier and regulator are but the innards are a mess and rusty so I’m going to replace everything. I found this diagram that says there should be a spacer on the rear of the rotor shaft before the needle bearing in the back. All the rebuild videos I’ve watched never had this spacer and neither does my unit. Does anyone know anything about this spacer? There is a dirty spot on the rear rotor shaft where a spacer could fit but it’s not there. Here are some pics of the spacer and the dirty spot on the rear of the shaft.

Is there such a thing as a 90° hydraulic filter base?

Something that runs the filter in parallel with the ports as opposed to perpendicular to them. I have a space constraint issue on an old loader that I can’t get filters for anymore.

Eegee’s piña colada, what are the little shavings?

I just had edges for the first time in nearly 40 years!! Still very good, pretty sure it’s different but good. The shavings seem to be similar. I always thought they were coconut but, now that I’ve had it again, they don’t appear to be. Are they orange rind shavings??

Has anyone here put Powerstop z17 brake pads on their Sienna?

My brakes were making noise not long ago and I thought I saw ridges on my rotors so I ordered new rotors and pads. When I went to install the new ones it turned out there were no ridges and the pads were still pretty thick. I put Powerstop Z17 pads on back in mid 2023 which was about 35k-40k miles ago. I was shocked when I looked up the date when I installed them. Has anyone had their pads last this long? I thought brake pads were more of a 30k mi max thing. They are low dust ceramic pads.

Recommendations for used tires online or good/economical new

Looking for some rear tires for my old Ford but don’t want to break the bank. Can’t seem to find any used tires locally and everything in eBay is still pricey. Are there any used tractor tire dealers online that I may have missed? Also what are your thoughts on brands like Agstar or Carlstar? Are there others that are more affordable yet still decent tires? Specifically Iooking for 16.9-24 tires.

Liftmaster LA412 issued

My wife’s grandparents are having issues with their hate opener. I immediately noticed the closed eyes/ interrupt light on. The sensors are aligned and no obstruction with that light on. I disconnected the sensor from the terminal and the light still stayed on which is a huge red flag for me. I assume the board is bad since that light doesn’t respond to the sensor being disconnect. The mag lock LED towards the right bottom of the board is constantly on but nothing is connected to those terminals. Any help would be appreciated. Also if anyone knows where I can find any details on troubleshooting the board (I highly doubt this, maybe a forum I haven’t seen?) that would be great too. This kind of info seems to be locked down similar to HVAC equipment. Thank you.

1964ish Ford 4000 Industrial (4130) made a deal, need advice

So I just made a deal for this beauty for $2500. It’s a 41301 but the SN is no legible so not sure if it’s a 63, 64 or 65. I feel pretty comfortable with that. It runs well, no smoke, but the loader hydraulics are slow and drift down without any load. I don’t see any obvious signs of leaks at the cylinders but there might be a leak at the pump. I’m sure it needs a new filter which may speed the hydraulics up a bit. It has a 3pt that works and PTO. We agreed on the price but said I’d let him know in the morning what my final decision was. Just wanted to do more research tonight in it. Any thoughts on what else to look for? I’ll need a battery for it and all the tires hold air but the right rear is a lot more worn than the left rear and I know those are pricey. Thanks!!

Anyone have any experience or knowledge about adding a pto and 3 pt hitch to a 1964 Ford 4140(4000 HD)?

Some came without either but with a backhoe. I’d like to add both but not sure if it’s been done or if it’s a compete tear down of the unit to add them.

1964 Ford 4000 HD, questions…

Found what seems to be a decent looking and running 1964 Ford 4000 HD with original loader and backhoe. I’m kind of in love with this thing but I haven’t been able to go out my hands on it(2.5 hrs away). It needs a small weld on the loader but apparently still operated well and it has some hydraulic leaks and one of the stabilizer bars drifts when up. 4 speed gasser. I heard the gas versions are more or a PITA than the diesel’s but not sure why other than typical carb and varnish stuff. It’s listed for $4500 which seems attractive but maybe a little high, just a little. My question are: is the backhoe removeable? I think so but might be a pain. Also, did the backhoe versions ever come with a pro or 3 point? Owner says it doesn’t have that but I’m wondering if those things can be retrofitted with a backhoe. Lastly, what do you all think about the price?

Help IDing this old Case backhoe

Listed for $3500. Doesn’t seem to be worth that much since it looks rough and the loader seems to be heavily modified. The descriptions says, “Tractor runs”, so to me this means they have nothing good to say about it but it starts. Still seems interesting to me but having a hard time doing research on it. The guy told me it’s a 1951 Case C1 and that “all worked when parked”. It seems Case didn’t come out with an integrated backhoe until 1957 with the 320 but this doesn’t look like that. The roll cage, loader, and rear wheel fenders all seem custom but I’m not too familiar with the tractors. If anyone has any idea as to what model years and model this could be, please let me know. I’d greatly appreciate it. Posting the only pics available.

How the hell do I do this right?

I’m guessing I have the wrong tools. First time I tried this I messed up the front wheel on my craftsman t1600. Now I marred up the rear wheel and jacked up the tire where it makes the bead as you can see in the pics. I bought general purpose tire irons from harbor freight and they may be too big but I’m not sure. I’ve watching videos on YouTube and followed the same steps, but when you start cranking in the rim to get the tire over the lip, that’s when things get messed up. Any tips would be appreciated. Thanks!

What kind of weed is this?

In the southwest US and have clusters of these in parts of my yard. No idea what they might be. Trying to find a selective that’ll work on these and spare my buffalograss. Thanks!

Model no. 247.203743

I’m hoping the bearings are generic enough that they are the same for the idler pulleys and the spindles(probably across different models and manufacturers) Can anyone confirm? I found these bearings: MTD 941-0919B. I took my deck off to clean it and sharpen my blades and found some resistance from the spindles when I tried to turn by hand. The idler pulleys spin freely but with some slight noise so I was thinking of just replacing the bearings on all of them. Any help would be appreciated. Thank you.
