Coherence, Primer, Blair Witch, those are some of the names you get across when looking for interesting low budget films.
But if I'm looking for even lower budget films? At least, lesser known, maybe less successful, but still interesting?
Where should I look?
It can be either films that have some kind of relatively unique way to do things, or that are surprisingly good at doing a relatively big story with less money and experience. Maybe things like The people's joker?
It can be quirky or totally serious, animation of live, and even "so bad it's good" cause the real movies of this kind actually have something interesting in it too. Even if they're bad by the usual standards, they make you feel something different.
Anyways that's a lot and english is not my first language, so sorry for the clunky writing and redudancy, but hopefull you get the idea and can suggest a few movies or directors (or even online sources specialized in those kind of ideas) so I can go through the rabbithole.
I'm very interested in what people do today, but anything worthy of interest from later in the past is also of course something I appreciate.
I used to do muay thai but I've gotten older and had a few health problems
I can't take muay thai or any type of more explosive and high impact combat sports now, so I'm looking for maybe some types of traditional marts arts, like chinese, or any other that I can't think of, that would still have sparring (and if possible, not kata or the likes) while not being as demanding for me.
Anyone knows anything that could fit the bill around Esch up to Luxembourg?
Thanks
After both those guys, I was a bit letdown by what follows (even if it's fine), I felt like it could only go up from there in terms of crazyness and power levels (even if obviously Baki doesn't really work like that both in progression and focus)
But it didn't really.
Still, I'm wondering if you can think of a crazy kind of opponent(s) for Baki and friends where you go "wow, now that would be an interesting challenge".
At some point I was thinking literally aliens lol but even for Baki that's going too far. So what are we left with to up the interest? Maybe other historical figures?
I might be digging in the wrong direction tho. Itagaki probably plays more with "smaller" ideas, cause after Baki vs Ogre, what can be done anyway? You can't really put Yujiro in a weaker position, or even defeat either.
Idk, I was just thinking that I fucking love Baki but sometimes I feel like it kinda stopped at some point and is now in autopilot with a bit less interesting things than what we've seen.
See title, I'm not used to anime fighters, is there any general advices that apply to games like AL?
What should I start thiking differently about?
What characters could you compare the current roster to other characters in Street fighter?
Do I need to learn super long combos in AL to be decent? Or can you get by with more basic ones? (for example in SF6 I'm halfway to Diamond using only very basic 4-5 hits combos with Manon)
Any other general advices welcome.
(Sorry in advance for my broken english)
I'm not a versus fighting games beginner, I've been playing Street fighter games since I was young, and I've tried a few other games people seem to call anime fighters.
But never for very long.
It's always too complicated for me I end up learning the game and finding it fun, but getting absolutely destroyed online.
My brain is quite slow, I'm older now, and all of this just looks like something I can never do, the execution, fast thinking, etc.
So I told myself I'd try this time again since I love Avatar.
I go into tutorial mode, and immeditately there's a bunch of long as commands to learn, I feel intimiated and like I'll give up this time again.
I was about to go refund the game on Steam, but then I go, what the hell, let's just learn like 3 moves and go play online so I can get recked and give up for good.
I've now been playing for 1h30, THIS IS SO MUCH FUN
I've made a few FT10 against random people that were a bit better than me but not to the point I can't do shit, and I learned through the matches. I'm not used to such movements, air dashes and the like, and this feels so good
Now this one player fights me for 5 games and I get this bad feeling of "the high level play of these games is for people that don't think like regular humans, not even like the regular versus fighting players", where I can never win.
I know if kind of feels like this in every game, but since this one is way faster and more technical than what I'm used to, I'm scared that when everyone's learned the game, I will not be able to play anymore, only being punished by super long combos which I hate.
So I'm torn. I have 30mn left of play to refund it or not.
Something that can be a bit eerie but doesn't intend to be scary
Or something that can be just super chill, oniric, floaty (english is not my first language and I can't find the words lol, but rn I'm listening to the Doshin the giant OST, I didn't play the game, but this kind of vibe maybe)
PC only even tho emulated is fine
EDIT : no crafting/farming (or maybe, if it's like 10% of the game max)
It's been there for 2-3 months. Sometimes itches, not always, not that hard. I only wear short socks (the same as always). Any ideas? Should I worry? Try something on it?
See title
It's currently on sale and I'm curious if it could be a good game for a "stupid" person like me, or if there are any other competitive RTS with a decent player base that could be interesting alternatives.
Film or series, animation or live. I like getting lost in weird, dark, oniric/dream language, paranoid stuff I guess. But anything you feel like could be close.
Edit : I've already seen all Lynch and Satoshi Kon
Everyone always tends to talk about the masterpieces everyone knows, but are there some lesser know, great anime you like?
OAVs (which seemed to be a great place to make creative, weird stuff at some point), movies or TV, whatever.
