I’ve been researching Asian for scorpions for a while. I really want a captive bred adult -Maybe sub adult but it’s really hard to find them at a decent size. I’m planning to put it in a 10 gallon glass tank (I already have it on hand) but I’m wondering if you can put a baby in a bigger tank? I have tarantulas and usually you start off small and work your way up as they grow but is a scorpion different? Will they get stressed out by the space? Also if anyone knows any breeders/ venders that’s selling done I’d love to know!!
I have a ten gallon glass aquarium, it currently doesn’t have a lid but I will make one out of plexiglass or screen mesh soon whenever I start researching what I want. I already have 10 tarantulas, and two jumping spiders as well have hissing roaches and Dubia roaches. I want something that will be able to be held OCCASIONALLY and doesn’t need heat (I don’t think either do but pls correct me if I’m wrong) really just want to hear pros or cons if anyone can help!!
The only time she comes out in the day 🤷♀️
I still have 6 to make but I think they are really cute so far!
I’ve just recently ran out of rats and I’m getting ready to order more. She was eating a weaned rat every 2 weeks but now that she’s adult I believe to the feeding schedule this sub recommends she should be eating around 40g. She’s 2 years 2 months and 2 days old (kinda crazy) so I’m thinking I will feed her a small rat every 30-40 days. Usually the rats I get from this company are a little on the larger side so I’m thinking every 40 days will be good but i also don’t want her to be fat or skinny. Hopefully this makes sense thanks in advance!
Took me 4 hours but I love them so it’s ok!
Got this cute little Bitty baby at petco yesterday. I usually would never buy any living animal from Petco, but I couldn’t resist because she was on the checkout counter marked as 100% off. There was two others beside her, but I picked her because I figured she would be the most overlooked because she’s not a bright color. First time having a female and first time having a fish this small. I’m hoping she likes her new home. Can’t wait to see her grow and get her colors
Ugh how can they be so cute
Not sure what to do this hasn’t happened to me before. Help is appreciated
I have lots of different complete meals from Etsy along with other different single treats/protein’s. I also give them fresh foods a few times a month but i work a lot so it’s rare. But I’m wondering if they NEED fresh food??
First time doing multiple colors on myself I think it turned out okay 🤷♀️
Had some ants in their tank. Thankfully nobody was molting plus I wanted to re do their tank anyway. They sat not so patiently waiting watching me to finish 🫠
Second post I’m making. I’m thinking it’s DKS now. I’m not sure how he would have gotten it but I’m extremely upset and wondering if I’m somehow to blame. He kicked off all the leaves he had on him (second clip) so I dropped a little water on his fangs but he doesn’t seem any better. I just don’t want him to suffer
Just went to feed my male golden knee and he’s like this. A few hours ago he seemed fine, he was moving dirt around and acting normal but now I’m scared. He molted two weeks ago and ate a few days ago. What do I do
My female A.hentzi honey just molted after 2 years of having her! Absolutely one of the most underrated Ts ever in my opinion. She was my first tarantula and is an absolute sweetheart I can’t believe how dark she is after molting, she almost looks like a T.vagans I’m sure she will lighten up but still so beautiful
