Kurt Russell maybe really did see The Thing?
I just happened to want to keep myself entertained by watching some trash tv, this clip appeared and I was like wtf?
Kurt even looks like Mac in one of the shots, I mean you cannot make this shit up.
CX820 cams do not have an "on" feature for HDR, just off or auto, but my CX810 does.
So I reached out to Reolink regarding my subscription for the competition, I then realized I should ask about the HDR/WDR feature that should be off, on, auto, but all 3 of my cams only have off, auto.
My model numbers differ than what the websites do, they're higher and no additional firmware exists for these. I bought these through Amazon.au through Reolink's official site.
My concern is, when I turn on auto or to off on the CX820, it does nothing, specifically for night time viewing, the CX810 changes it dramatically.
I fear I am missing out on some performance due to not being able to have HDR switched to on all the time.
Is anyone else having these issues with the CX820?
HW No: IPC_NT18NA68MP
FW Version v3.2.0.5316_2509028854
The major issue is, I used to be able to read a sign across the road, now it's all washed out, meaning HDR is not working in auto mode.
Any help please?
EDIT:
Ticket has been submitted for engineers to have a look at, will keep you updated.
EDIT:
Has been passed onto their R&D team for further check.

eBay charging for buyer protection.
I created a thread yesterday after finding out I was charged an additional $2.50 for buyer protection even though I have this for free under eBay Plus that I am subscribed to.
So posters were just copy pasta stuff from eBay also saying you get your buyer protection money back when you file a claim as inr.
INR today and that $2.50 stays with eBay, even worse, item was sent no tracking, it's been 9 days for a local delivery.
I then had a look at what it would cost for buyer protection for more expensive items, $2500 would mean this.
Listing for a used designer handbag
---
Item price set by the seller
Buyer Protection variable fee(8% of $20, + 6% of $480, + 4% of $2,000)
Buyer Protection flat fee
Price that buyer sees for the listing
^^ If I have to file for INR or w/e, I lose $110.70 buyers fee when refunded?
The handbag is their example, but quite apt as there was some synth related gear I wanted to buy from private sellers which falls around the same $ as the bag. How in the hell does eBay think buyers are willing to lose money when some of us already subscribe to eBay plus which says free eBay buyer coverage? Also if the same listing exists elsewhere, which many private sellers do, the price will be cheaper due to no buyer or seller fees.
All this to get more people selling on eBay, but it will backfire, I am not willing to pay for the seller's fees, so this means now, I only buy from power sellers.
Well done eBay, your greed finally got you less business in the end.
Big Trouble in little sequel: Cash in little China
Cash and Lo Pan team up this Summer in a buddy cop movie, solving crimes, doing hi fives and chasing tail with green eyes.
WTF IS THIS?
So I was checking out an item I purchased for delivery date then say this fee, seriously wtf?
I have eBay plus, pay an additional $2.50 to eBay for Buyer protection fee? Then see that I am covered by eBay Money Back Guarantee for free?
Is this some kind of weird joke where someone behind the curtains jumps out and yells, "it's a prank bro, here are all the cameras", and points to my $2.50.
Remember when Lo Pan and Burton were in a different Universe?
I woke up with this on my neck.
How accurate is the power usage meter on the actual NVR?
Ok 1stly I want to thank everyone for the support when it comes to questions regarding Reolink devices, I get good, succinct answers and could not be happier.
So I have 3 CX820s 1 CX810 (not currently wired up)1 RLC-811A and a Duo 3 PoE. The CX810 isn't currently connected as am waiting on 1 more cable, so I had the NVR UI up on 1 screen and the app on the other, was monitoring the wattage usage @ 51 volts.
5 cams with lights off @ ~ 25 watts, then lights all on, max 37 watts, average 34 watts. I know the NVR is max 57 watts, so will I still be able to run this setup without a POE switch? There is a reason, my router only has so many ports, but I am willing to sacrifice 1 if it means I stress the NVR less.
My understanding is I just plug the POE switch into my router and the NVR will find the other cams connected to that, it's that simple right?
Fwiw I don't think I will need the light on the CX810 as I have enough ambient lighting where it will be used, so I think my max power budget all 6 cams running with lights will be about 45 watts max. The thing is, not all cams will need lights unless someone triggers all the cams at once, I can't see that happening unless it's a zombie apocalypse.
I want to do this right, so do I need a POE switch, if yes, what is the better brand to get?
Once again, thanks to all that had input on my other thread and T.I.A
EDIT: I should add, when I said all lights off, I am in Smart mode where ambient lighting is there, I have each light turned down to around 30% when it's triggered.
