I’ll probably get hate for this but does anyone know if there’s a list of some sort showing all of the businesses in slo that are maga?

I’d rather not shop there as a poc in the area and I feel like during this time, people should know where they’re putting their hard earned money.

I’ll probably be downvoted for being on the other side of things but I felt like this was the perfect subreddit to share the employees side of not tipping.

I get it’s frustrating to be asked to tip at a fast food restaurant. But could everyone here please remember that our boss asks for us to say “it’ll have you answer a question” or display the tip screen? If we don’t, we could be fired. We are simply just following protocol to keep our jobs. Please just press no.

It’s always nice and I won’t say I don’t appreciate it obviously when it does happen since that would be awful , but we aren’t going to be upset if you don’t tip…Most of us don’t even understand why there’s a tip option when we make above minimum wage, and tipping options should solely be left to the jobs who don’t.

The tips don’t even really go to us since most of it is given to the owner and the rest is evenly divided between employees and taxed each paycheck. so for the people who do randomly tip, I suggest doing it cash anyway because it’s not like it goes directly to us. It’s a scam and a way for the business owners to make more money. If you tip a dollar, we only get like five cents of it, so at that point just save your money.

Sometimes I would go home completely drained due to customer’s taking their frustration out on me when I don’t even blame you guys for not tipping. It’s one of the reasons I quit and now work in retail lol. We are very hands on in finding people outfits and carrying their items, but we never expect or ask for a tip, especially when checking out!

If you’d like to express discomfort about it, please ask for a manager and speak to them about it. Or call corporate if applicable. Expressing it to teens/young adults when we can’t change anything doesn’t fix the situation or create a resolution unfortunately, and it’ll just make us more prone to get fired if you tell us to tell our managers that. Companies listen to customers more than employees unfortunately :/

The first full length practice test in June was in the 130s. That was after me just skimming through some material and not doing any persistent studying.

I want to apply to law school for fall 2027. I wanted to take the LSAT in October so that I can still apply ED, but my goal is over a 160…

I plan on taking another full length practice test this week to see how I am doing. I feel a lot more confident in the material, and on average I score a 4/5 on 7sage practice tests, 3/5 average on more difficult question types.

Is this realistic at all or should I just not even try? Does anyone have advice on what I should do?

To add context, I also work so I typically try to study AT LEAST minimum two hours a morning before my eight hour shifts. Should I be doing more?

The concept of my roommate getting arrested for DV and her boyfriend refusing to leave the apartment even when asked, impersonating her to my roommates and I from her phone, and him trying to fight management which led to the cops being called again and him being banned from ever returning.

But then they stay together for some odd reason and it gets worse.

He got shot in the balls when starting another fight with a man (NOT EVEN KIDDING) and she’s been sneaking him in (ignoring the ban) and arguing super loud since she has to care for him, am I crazy if I call the cops?? I emailed the leasing office twice and they haven’t responded in an entire week. I feel stuck.

Edit: forgot to mention that she’s been liking racist and sexist posts on insta and romanticizing the DV situation so I feel unsafe from her too!

I feel like I should be lower by now though and I feel like im not making much progress. I’ve been working out and making sure to hit 10,000 steps for the past two days. I’m just not sure what I am doing wrong.

Any advice? Am I trying to rush things or is this normal?

I am at my final straw literally.

So it started when my roommates stopped cleaning entirely. I was the only one to clean! So I stopped doing it and only took care of my own belongings. They’ll leave dishes in the sink for days but if I leave a skillet in the sink to soak for an hour or two, they’ll throw it onto the counter and leave a wet mess and not even clean it up. I ended up breaking and cleaning the living room because it was so filthy!

Then one of my roommate’s boyfriends REFUSED to leave the apartment after they got into an argument and she got arrested. He was impersonating her via text and it was super scary! He tried to fight management and the cops had to be called! And he was banned from the property but she still brings him over, disregarding my safety. She also got mad that during an outing last year I wanted to leave a bar because I was literally groped, so it’s clear she prioritizes men over women. I already had a bad feeling about the guy, and she’d bring him over and leave him at the apartment alone. And when she’d even try to get him to leave, it would take a long time. I’d try to communicate I was uncomfortable by it and she would react terribly to it.

I am being ignored in the groupchat as well for no reason. I’ve never started an argument, i clean, I don’t bring over crazy people, etc. I’ve always tried to coordinate dinners and outings, but they’ll just hangout without me and post about it. It feels so isolating. I feel like it’s racially motivated at this point.

And they take over an hour and a half to shower in the morning when I typically need to get ready for work so I am always stressing or falling behind! Like as I am typing this, my roommate has been in the shower for an hour and I have to leave in forty five minutes. I don’t know what to do since my lease doesn’t end until next year 😭 AIO???

I’m getting a hormonal iud that lasts up to 8 years tomorrow from planned parenthood. I have endometriosis so they said this was the best option, as my birth control pill has caused me to gain significant weight since being on it, and my pain is still bad.

Is there anything I should do to prepare? I am off tomorrow, the day of insertion, but I go back to work the next day. Is there anything I should get to prep?

I was wondering what is going on with ziggys. I saw that they have a Sylvester’s sign covering it. I heard that the owners are mixing the two and I am concerned about overall cross contamination. Like are they having separate grills or are they cleaning it after every cook? I don’t see how it’ll be an efficient way to offer vegan food now, and it was my favorite place in the area so I am a bit sad about the change.

living in a town with a majority of white people, i have experienced a lot of fetishism and racism. many men have gone out with me just to experience going out with a black girl. but ultimately i have never been the top choice or anyone’s type, until my current bf, but it’s hard to believe that now after what i found.

recently my bf told me that his first type is white women, and I found thousands of photos in his hidden of white petite porn stars. it was unsettling to see but the worst part of it all was seeing that he also viewed white pornstars on Reddit. i feel like no matter what I won’t be anyone’s type. i genuinely feel helpless and have been super depressed. even yesterday a man harassed me and tried to force me to move for him out of racism as i was just trying to walk on the sidewalk. i am extremely tired.

i am worried my partner may see this but at this point i don’t really care anymore. it’s been an ongoing issue for years and i am genuinely at my breaking point and wanted to see if anyone else felt this way? i don’t really have any black friends since again, there’s a lack of diversity in my town. I hope my post doesn’t make anyone upset bc i am truly just trying to get advice :(
