Quick question ambisonic loop export

I noticed that when exporting as an example an Ambisonic loop, cubase adds a micro intro silence space at the very beginning.

That breaks the perfect loop you had.Never had any issues on stereo files. And believe me I've been making loops X living for many years.

Any thoughts on how to fix this?

Halion

Wondering what are your thoughts on halion, I bought it 3 years ago thinking of having a sort of workstation type of sound palette, and I found that sounded terrible to me, cold, digital and I was quite disappointed. Never used it.What is your opinion?

Surfing the everchanging tides in the music industry (part 1)

I want to talk about what my day to day has been like working designing sample libraries.

Started developing sample libraries in late 2009 early 2010 was my first release, The library was (Dubwise) that got released on Loopmasters, it went to N 1 on the LM top selling chart for a couple of weeks. For me it was the beginning of a long long trip that is somehow still going. At that time I was running a small recording studio, work wasnt great and I was about to start selling my gear to support everyday life cost.

I came up with the idea of developing a sample library in the genre I was most prominent in. I just had released my first Ep that year and what started with an idea went to become my full time job for many many years.

Back then a good selling release would give you a good amount of Royalty % althought I started getting only35% share on my first release

( You why these labels make or used to make money, taking advantage of struggling producers looking to survive doing what they love) Believe me, now its worse than before as the marked is completly flooded with labels and content, and Im not even mentioning the AI issue here...

A True Labor of Love: The Roots of a Best-Seller

Looking back, my very first sample packs were a true labor of love, fueled by pure creativity and the incredible support of a community of musicians. Somewhere around 2012 or 2014, I packed up a basic recording setup and drove 4,000 kilometers across Argentina. My mission was simple: capture the raw essence and authentic roots of a sound that would ultimately become my best-selling work.

Around ten different musicians and singers brought this project to life. The vision was to develop a definitive Cumbia sample library, tapping into the rising electronic-fusion movement known as "Nu-Cumbia." We tracked everything from accordions, guitars, and keyboards to classic, traditional percussion like the unique "donkey jaw."

The project was deeply collaborative. Three distinct vocalists tracked for the library, alongside vocal shouts contributed by a few close friends. For the rhythm section, two producer friends joined me to program the drums. This was the work of a collective of passionate music lovers coming together to create something timeless.

The label was open-minded enough to accept the release, even though there was nothing like it on the market and the genre wasn’t yet a global trend. As it turned out, that Nu-Cumbia pack sold thousands of copies worldwide, and I am certain those samples ended up in countless songs around the globe.

to be continued...

[Paid] I think I just released the first ambisonic impact sound library of this scale — 400 assets, 22 categories, binaural renders included

After months of recording and production I just launched a spatialized impact sound library that I couldn't find anywhere else on the market — so I built it myself.

What's in it: — 400 ambisonic & binaural rendered impacts and hits — 22 categories covering pretty much every use case — Binaural renders included so it works even if you're not running a full ambisonic pipeline yet Built for Unreal, Unity and major audio middleware too

Feedback welcome!

Tropical field recording

Hi everyone

I'm soon heading to Caribbean coastline of Panama for a new recording adventure.

I wanted to ask the community your thoughts and experience in this type of environment. I'm used to it as I love in the region but I'm curious about other fellow recordists experience.regarding gear used and any other topics.

My goal in this occasion is to record at least 2 layers of the canopy. Lower layer and second layer above 20 mt high.

Raining season is up but I find that it's even better when short windows of "dry" time let the whole environment explode in all it's splendor.

Appreciate your thoughts

Bests to all

E

From hardware to software and everything in between

Over 30 years ago I was making my first song attempts on a 2 deck tape player, I would record a guitar part, then change cassettes and do a basic overdubbing recording more parts or co also over the guitar part. It was great to hear your recording, it was like magic. Time.passed and I. could afford a groove box and a rs7000 Yamaha and would start making melodic loops, adding fx's and record live jams on a standard cassette recorder. Time passed and started using pirate copy of cubase 2 or 3 can't remember. Started to make my firsts basic looped songs.early 2000s you would still send demos to labels in the mail and get the occasional response! Time passed and ended up releasing music on some cool labels around the globe. My tunes started to get track and started to get calls to play in major festivals and I realized that I didn't want to perform live, didn't like the live music scene. Now I'm back to a minimalistic rig that I take with me on my travels. Still enjoy making music, music is my life,.I earn my living through music and I must say thank you because after all these years music is still playing, music is shelter, its memory, it's love and freedom. Music is the expression of the soul. Don't spoil it respect music, respect yourself, respect life.

Music production

Wanted to ask the community about the amount of samples use in your productions. These days the market is flooded with sample libraries, all type size and quality.platforms with subscriptions etc. in the old days a library would cost up to 200 dollars, physical CD dvd. Late 90s Early 2000, now there is so much outhere that the value seems to have disappeared.

Music maker

I.m curious about the take on ai music from bedroom producers, upcoming producers, what d u think?

Are u proud of your own craft or you don't mind using AI music generated to stand out?

Honest opinions welcome

to me the beauty of making music is self expression, AI kills that from within
