Sprue repurposed
I cut out the middle part of a couple sprues I had to make extra long umbrella poles.
Panasonic RQ-V158
Got this in a box of random things, looks to be in decent condition.
Why
Why does the same noisy Cessna keep flying around town?
At least 5 times today alone.
Trains on a Bus!
Anyone else live in a skoolie that never grew out of playing with lego?
Or Lego like alternatives in my case cause finances. 😳
Alternate build?
Anyone know of any alternate builds or ideas for the pieces from this set?
Test equipment
Currently using API master kit with vials. I am having a hard time believing some of its results so am looking for better options.
What is the best tester/kit for nitrate levels?
Are there digital monitors that can be left going all the time?
Appreciate any suggestions. Thank you.
My smell stopped working
Last October I started to loose my sense of smell after having a bad cold.
It has progressively gotten worse. A lot of things have no smell at all, and the rest can be grouped into like 4 different smells. Each of these smells is more sour and nauseating version of the next.

I don't miss a lot of things, like the cat litter box, fish pond filters, the garbage can, and so forth, most things that were actually nasty, have no smell.

The absolutely most unbearable smell is that of dish soap, body wash, laundry detergent, and dryer sheets. Makes me dry heave sometimes. (Yes I am working on finding different flavours that are bearable, and oderless are NOT oderless 🤢. Medical/dental clinics are pretty high in the gross too.

I miss being able to figure things out that I would normally smell to satisfy. Such as laundry, and it seems the less it smells, the more it definitely needs to be washed. Also wish I could smell fire! I am constantly asking someone if they smell something burning, cause I do! But when we have an actual stinky camp fire, i smell nothing, nor the smell my cloths would normally be left stinking like the next morning.

I miss eating the most. Everything is becoming nasty. Oven fries are even becoming gross. I've lost 10Kg this year already.

No one can figure out what's wrong with me, even had an MRI of my brain.
Mildly infuriating.
EDIT. it was not COVID, I was tested
I've had COVID 3 times, confirmed by tests, and only knew I had it cause I was dating a nurse and she got it often from the hospital.
All 3 times my only symptom was an uncomfortable pressure behind my eyes. All 3 times. I tested positive each time she got sick.
This cold I got quite sick, not typical COVID syptoms but significant. And I tested twice negative for COVID.
So I'm pretty sure it was not COVID.
EDIT 2: all those that have COVID related loss, all share a similar description of a complete loss of smell. My loss is not complete, lots of things have no smell, however other thing have developed whole new smells, all over time getting worse. Not the same.
No.1 Autobody
Looking for advice please.
Been a long time customer at no.1 Autobody. Haven't been in a while, however I recently had to go back, got my car back and the dash cam was disabled. I then checked the mileage on the invoice vs what the car now has. There is over 450km extra on the car now.
Should this have been fixed?
My car, 2011 Sentra, was rear ended. Body shop charged over 2k to replace rear bumper cover. Should they not have bent this metal back too?

Found in a wall
While doing some renovations, to a house built in 1982, I found this firebird, inside a half wall that was removed.
Almost new condition, some paint chips on rear spoiler.
Flexible filament experience?
Flexible filament "edison buld" leds. About 3mm wide. Can anyone tell me how how tight of a radius curve can they handle? I'm looking for options for a diorama. Thanks for your help
That item that follows you.
Have any random childhood objects that just seem to follow you through life? For me, it's this, now well abused, micromachine, that I've had since new. I have no other micromachines, it just seems to keep finding a spot among my other things and I keep randomly finding it.
Book one finished!
Separated from the base to have better placement options.
