I don’t know why, but I feel like the characters I write (namely OCs) have really have a distinct enough personality? Any way to fix it? Am I just being too hard on myself?
My OCs all have different backgrounds, ways of speaking, perspectives on the world, flaws, relationships with others; the whole enchilada (to greater and smaller extents depending on which one). But for some reason, I just feel this worry that all of my characters don’t have “set” enough personalities yet. Like, I still don’t feel like I know my characters enough to always know exactly what they will say in any given situation. Is that an unrealistic goal for a writer to have (I am a writing major in case that’s important).
If you want to know how those Redditors I made fun of the other day reacted to Bob Brooks winning the primary, they’ve fortunately been good sports about it.
Something very funny I found. Bob Brooks is the frontrunner in the PA-07 primary tommorow, has steadfast support from both progressive groups and moderate groups, but is really, really hated on the local area's subreddit for some reason.

So, why exactly did Polis decide to set his political career on fire?
Seriously, what did he stand to gain with the Tina Peters shit?
I can’t think of a joke here I just think this screenshot is very funny.
What kinds of plot points or conflicts do you think are overdone in the LitRPG genre?
I admit I still haven’t read that far into enough series for me to actually have a concrete answer here (Im only writing this text so there was something in this section)
Bernie Sanders Backs Slate of Candidates in Bid to Cement Progressive Legacy
Disclaimer: This should not be intended a direct endorsement or advertisement of the slate of candidates. I just think it’s so special for a politician who has been in the game as long as Bernie admit that he’s not gonna be here forever and is focusing on building a legacy at every level of government. You don’t see that very often.
Could Peter Welch (D-VT) be vulnerable to a primary challenge in 2028?
He does seem to be a bit…relatively conservative for a state like VT.

Mamdani Announces Balanced Budget Without Cuts
Ive been looking over this budget crisis with bated breath for a while (as an upstater) and it seems like Zohran has done it again.
Why are establishment democrats still popular with voters? What do they actually offer to normal people?
This is mostly a response to how Steyer and Saikat are both flopping their primaries in the polls so far despite having basically unlimited self funding so I know it can’t be a funding or name recognition thing?
I know that it isn't a guarantee that this will even get enough signatures to get on the ballot, much less be actually successful in disposing of Landry. But this makes it clear that there is active resistance to the authoritarianism happening in Louisiana's state government right now and people are fighting back.
