UPDATE! she recovered and has been released!! this all actually happened in my work parking lot. i brought her inside in a little container with mesh fabric on top and kept her in the back of my store where it was warmer, and left her with some water. i just went to check on her for the first time in about 6 hours and she seems to be right back to normal. she’s totally perked up and alert now, responsive, and no visible injuries. i released her and she ran away to a tree :)

hi, possible injury warning, i hope this guy isn’t hurt but i’m not sure.
i live in florida where we have brown anoles everywhere. one got into my car today and i tried getting him out but he kept getting away and eventually squeezed underneath my backseat, where the soft seat part connects to the base of the seat. after a while i finally got him out by pulling the seat up and sticking my finger into the tiny gap he was in and sweeping, and literally pushing him out. but i think he got kind of squished under it because he looks almsot flattened. he kept trying to go further in when i pulled the seat up, so i’m scared he went too far in and when i let go he got squished.
he let me pick him up after that and i put him in this container with some water. he looks to be breathing fine and i checked for punctures/wounds and broken limbs, and theres none. but he hasn’t moved, hes just laying with his belly on the ground. i haven’t seen him drink any of the water even though it’s right by his face touching his nose and he’s had his eyes closed almost the whole time.

is there anything i can do for this little guy? am i making him more stressed by not immediately releasing him, should i just put him outside and let nature take its course? thank u :(

hi all, i have some really unfortunate news. kittie has passed away.. i am absolutely devastated. i think she just died because it was near the end of her life cycle. she was about 2 years old.

she was so special to me and my first ever spider. she was easily my favorite spider in my collection. i truly think we had some kind of bond or something becquse she was just the absolute sweetest, most social and curious girl. i had so much fun watching her grow up and she taught me so much. she was so patient with me as i was learning about spider care and always bothering her lol. i feel extremely lucky to have had her, and i got to observe so much from her.

thank you guys for always leaving your nice comments when i posted her. i am happy others enjoyed and appreciated her as much as i did and i’m glad she could make others smile too. its very comforting to think about now that she’s passed. these are a few of my favorite pics of her

i think i’m going to have her pinned to display in my room (i collect oddities) to preserve her. if anyone in the tampa bay area knows reputable artists for this PLEASE DM ME!!!!!!

hi, can anyone ID from this footage? theyre flying around like crazy on the outdoor garage door. only at night. are they termites?

my sweet Bram is finally ready to eat after his molt ~15 days ago! his fangs took a while to harden this time but now he’s finally good to eat. gave him an extra big mealworm as a special treat today, hopefully will encourage some more growth soon :)

i’m obsessed with her, she’s so beautiful. sorry for posting her so much lol.

caught her red-handed moving piles of dirt into her water bowl, looked closer and, pretty sure that’s another egg sac in her legs. at least i am sure it’s not fertilized, hopefully Kittie realizes too and discards it (she did last time she laid an egg sac, not the first time when i had to remove it myself). here we go for round 3..

she’s “remodeling”.. even threat posed me when i tried to put the cap back after removing it to rinse it out 😆

this is Banshee, my lasiodora parahybana sling, unsexed . i don’t try to handle him or bother him at all, i only open the lid on his cup to spray water/feed. but any time i even approach or open the lid he freaks out and runs away and hides in the moss. i don’t mind if hes just shy ofc, but i also don’t want him to be stressed, and i’m worried that getting startled so often would be causing him stress. is this normal behavior ? just a shy personality ? is there a way to make him more comfortable or less scared of me ?

so tiny, USA dime for reference. i work at a thrift store and he arrived in a box of someone’s stuff they donated.

title, tell me your experiences please! looking to expand my collection of wolfies but all of the popular sites ive checked seem to only have wild-caught and i don’t want any risk of babies. i’m looking for really any species (i love them all, my collection wishlist is mostly wolfies lol, so i’m happy with any) as long as they aren’t wild-caught . thank u :)

this is Poe !! (Phidippus audax). he is just the sweetest thing.. i could die . arrived from Fear Not on tuesday and hes already doing great , exploring lots :) so excited to get to know him .. so cutie .
