US citizen here. Only traveled south asia and UAE in past few years.I recently renewed my GE online for myself and my child. Son's approved but mine says conditionally approved after 3 weeks. My past 2 renewals didn't require interview. Is this normal to require interview for renewals ?
conditional email means I have to request interview right? My current GE doesn't expire until next year.
My conditional approval email was received the day I arrived to ORD from international flight and I saw the email the next day. If I receive it a day earlier, I would have done the interview at ORD after arrival. I heard reports of some receiving conditional approval and days weeks later changing to final approval without interview given. Should I schedule interview or wait ? THanks

I have planned trip to BLR on Aug 13 and staying for 3 days at a hotel. I planned to land around 3pm from AUH.

I heard there is a planned major strike ( BANDH). Is it confirmed and most likely to occur?

Will there be no UBER, TAXIS operating, shops or restaurants closed?

Is the domestic air travel safe? I flew ktm and pokhara back to ktm 2 days before the big yeti airline crash that killed everyone last year. Are they mostly on time?

Or Tourist bus is a better and cheaper option?By bus, it would still be from 7am to 2pm long bumpy ride? Thinking of spending couple of days in Pokhara but not sure. The ride-hailing apps like Pathao, Yango, Uber don't work in Pokhara right?

I am used to overpaying for prepaid taxi ride inside the airport. Don't want to do it if I don't have to. I also don't like haggling outside the terminal with taxi drivers with heavy luggage.

I used to purchase one week data and call esim at one one of the booth inside the airport.

I am only staying for no more than 1 week this time again. Local Nepal number is still important for ride hailing apps right? Thanks

I am visiting Abu dhabi soon for 3 or 4 days and booked the Grand suite room. Solo visitor and first time visitor

I want to enjoy the hotel amenities.Tthe indoor outdoor pool they have private beach.

How is the morning breakfast is it buffet? How is the evening light meal? real dinner meals with indian options too or just some snacks or cakes? Will I have to go out to eat dinner or the evening offering has lots of options? The location of the hotel is good and central location right?

It is ORD-AUH-BLR next month on Etihad business class both flights.

Unfortunately my 19 hour long lay over is an overnight lay over ( Wish it was during the day) so I will exit the airport with my carry on bag and stay in a hotel in the city and come back the next morning to catch the next flight to India. What is my lounge option in AUH after landing in the evening AND when I come back to AUH catch the next business class flight to India? Is it at same terminal and is it just one lounge I can go to? Varieties of food option? Thanks

Lounge access on EY12 and EY238?

Booked with AA miles. Do I get lounge access at ORD and during my overnight lay over in AUH? Checked with Etihad and told me they can't confirm. Lands at 7pm and departs the following day at 2pm. Etihad can't confirm as its booked with American Airlines.

I have a 19-hour layover in Abu Dhabi International Airport (AUH) before my flight to India next month. My flight is from USA-AUH-BLR on Etihad business class. I plan to leave the airport early in the evening, stay in a hotel for one night, and return to AUH by 2 p.m. As a U.S. citizen, I don’t have any entry requirements to worry about.

Two years ago, I visited Dubai with my family for two weeks, but I haven’t been to Abu Dhabi. I only took the Etihad bus shuttle from AUH to Dubai.

I’m looking for a hotel in Abu Dhabi. What area is good to stay at?What three to four-star properties that I could stay in? I’d like to spend an hour or at a beach to dip my feet/body in the water and than visit markets like a souk, if there’s a Gold Souk in Abu Dhabi, I’d also like to visit it. I bought my chain from Kanz Jewelry in Dubai in 2024. I would like to sell it and purchase a 20 gram one. Not going to theme parks.

Solo traveler, prefer true window. ORD-AUH-BLR Business class boeing 787-9. Which one is best seat? Trying to select seat on etihad website. Is this better or worse than Qatar Qsuite?

I booked USA to India, BLR, Biz class flight on Etihad and I have 19 hrs lay over in AUH. Can I exit AUH airport, stay in a hotel and come back to airport the next day to catch the next Etihad flight to India? I am a US citizen with US passport and we don't generally require visa to UAE.

I won't have to pick up my checked luggages at AUH? My checked bags will stay with the airline for 19 hrs and arrive when I arrive in India the next day? Thanks

There are 2 ways to fly and both are Etihad ORD-AUH-BLR.

One has 1:45 mins in AUH and flight lands at 8pm. The other one is 2: 40 mins in AUH and arrives at BLR at 3:15. I like the later flight but I will have to pay one full day of hotel rate for early check in and it has better connection time.

Which one is better?

I need to have "18 inch limb with branches (silver maple) removed that is hanging over my roof and front yard. Any recommendation for ones with good pricing? I am in North suburb.

I got quote from one company that actually came to give me the estimate but I guess he is too busy and won't give me a date to cut it. The other 2 companies didn't come but still gave me an estimate which is not reasonable!

My flight landing option and hotel check in options are either late night around 11pm or early morning around 5am. I like the later but most hotel would charge you full one day rate extra for such an early check in. That would be like $150 USD extra. Standard checking in time there is around 12pm I believe. Any 3 star hotel there that charges for hourly? Thanks

I have the E340 Video doorbell for 6 months now and it's hardwired. I had a reputable seller and their workers installed ,hardwired it. I have a transformer for it.

Recently my camera kept going offline and had a bit of trouble reconnecting it back. Called Eufy, they suggested a warranty replacement. I did home internet reset on my router and the camera reconnected back online.

My questions are, Will they send a brand new replacement or a refurbished one?

I am not a DIY, If I receive a replacement, is it hard and complicated work to install the camera? The tech agent said all I have to do is remove some wires and put back but don't know if it is something very easy or hard?
