I think it is down to us to demand Niantic figure out a profitable solution to the experience rural players have. Please share your ideas and opinions. Everyone’s insight is useful.
I just wrote out a tangential reply to someone’s comment on that meme with the stick figure *minion* with a bandana regarding rural players. Please reply with anything you think may help them!
* Get on r/pokemongofriends and offer up your user code and make boat loads of friends to exchange gifts with!
Ah fuck I just realised that you need to spin stops regularly to send gifts in return… but your pokemon buddy should give you 5-7 gifts or so once or twice a day?
Actually I bet you need nearby stops in order for your buddy to accumulate gifts for you.
You know what? FUCK Niantic for this nonsense averaged measure of spawns.
I get that their thinking is that the higher amount of players in any given populace is to cause a higher spawn rate; this being done to encourage frequent use in the areas that have *valuable data farms*.
But they NEED to answer to the gaming experience of rural players!
Ok I might anonymously (not really anonymously) start a petition demanding an answer. Like how can they not figure out a solution that profits them?
I’ll give an idea off the top of my head.
Rural players get in to regular contact with city players, through this process the rural players gain higher spawn frequency and occasional items and gifts.
Now what that contact entails can’t endanger the privacy or safety of either players. This would be staying true to the app’s privacy measures as *thats what campfire is for*.
SO, the contact and interaction must be designed to harvest valuable data that can be sold on right?
Communication and the behaviour that surrounds it is like gold dust. So what immediately comes to mind is a correspondence that utilises emojis or something of that ilk.
You link with a city player and their activity benefits you as well; the selling point is why did that city player choose that rural player in particular? That opens up data that could be used in marketing, especially if the reason can be *cookied* to 3rd party activity like REDDIT!
Food for thought! I’m gonna post this response on the main subreddit for go actual*
Edit: it got removed immediately from the main sub. I can only imagine that the worry of any unrest being caused through their activities becomes an administrative matter. I also swore in my post so maybe that’s why 🤷🏼♀️
Look at how beautiful these gold ones are with that aura!
Not really a brag so much as a showcase of beauty! This is the beginning of my collection, next on the agenda is Sableeye, Shinx and Drifblim.
If anyone has any suggestions for gold shinies that look sick with the lucky then I’m all ears.
If only I had known what an error I was making all those years ago :(
Fortunately I did learn quickly after! Still kicking myself! :(
