Question about an employment offer

My company has offered me a Senior Growth Marketing Manager role in the Netherlands with €105K/year.

For context, I'm currently based in India and requested relocation to the Netherlands. During negotiations, they initially offered €60K gross, even though I asked for €135K gross, so I declined. After further discussions, the conversation shifted to base salary, and we eventually agreed on €114K base. After another round of negotiations, they came back with €105K.

I've now received the offer letter, and it turns out the €105K is the total annual gross compensation, not the base salary.

The offer states: This amount represents your total annual compensation package for the applicable role and includes all compensation elements associated with your employment. This includes, to the extent applicable, base salary, holiday allowance, statutory or customary compensation elements, and any other required wage components under Dutch employment or payroll practices.

I had understood that €105K would be the base salary, with the holiday allowance paid on top of that, so this was unexpected.

They'll also cover only the visa and Employer of Record (EOR) costs. Relocation expenses, flights, temporary accommodation, and other moving costs would be my responsibility, which I was okay with when I believed my original compensation expectations had been met.

Just need an outsider perspective.

Should I accept this offer? Looking for advice.

My company has offered me a Senior Growth Marketing Manager role in the Netherlands with €105K/year.

For context, I'm currently based in India and requested relocation to the Netherlands. During negotiations, they first lowballed me with €60K gross, even though I initially asked for €135K gross, so I declined. However, the conversations kept focusing on base pay. We then agreed on €114K base, but after another round of negotiations, they came back with €105K.

I've now received the offer letter, and it turns out the €105K is the total gross compensation, not the base salary.

This includes, to the extent applicable, base salary, holiday allowance, statutory or customary compensation elements, and any other required wage components under Dutch employment or payroll practices.

I was under the impression that €105K would be the base salary, with holiday allowance on top of that. So this came as a surprise.

On top of that, they'll only cover the visa and Employer of Record (EOR) costs. Any relocation expenses, flights, temporary accommodation, or other moving costs will have to come out of my own pocket. (Which I was okay with considering my initial ask was met)

The tricky part is that I was genuinely excited about working for this company, and one of my major goals is to move out of India. But this offer feels like an odd lose-lose situation.

Looking to invest in startups: I will not promote

Angel investor here, looking to invest in early-stage startups.

I typically invest in B2B companies, location agnostic, with an existing MVP/product.

I can write a ton of things about what I bring as an investor, but I guess that'll count as promotion.

Is a birth certificate mandatory to get a BSN in the Netherlands?

I'm thinking of moving to the Netherlands through HSM visa sponsored by my employer. The issue is, I've lost my birth certificate and it's getting difficult to get an NABC (certificate for non-availability of birth certificate). I was born in 2002, and the hospital hasn't maintained records for anything before 2010.

I've been told a birth certificate is required for BSN registration and the visa.

Has anyone been in a similar situation? Not sure what to do here.

Company expects me to generate $40M in pipeline but won't pay 0.3% of it

Essentially the title.

I've been with my company for about 2 years now as a growth marketing manager. The expectations are mounting high. It's expected of me to generate about $40M ARR worth of deals this year. All of this especially when conversion rates are falling and new logo acquisition has been flat. Marketing missed its targets for Q1 & Q2 by 40%.

But they wouldn't pay me 0.3% of it.

Btw, $40M ARR is also the entire revenue the company has built in the last 10 years.

I understand the business dynamics. There's more to getting a customer than just growth marketing, but if you're being put up as literally the growth lever of the organization, they probably should also compensate their employees accordingly.

How do I get court order for updating my passport

I need to get my place of birth updated in my passport.

The official PSK website says that if the place of birth change involves a change of state, then I need this as a mandatory document: First class judicial magistrate's /Sub-divisional magistrate's (civil court) court order,if change in DoB is more than 2 years or in case of conflicting documents/ if change in place of birth involves change of State or Country)

But there's not much information available online on how I get this? Can someone help?

People who moved to Netherlands as an expat, how did it turn out?

My company has offered me visa sponsorship to move to any country in the EU. My initial choices were Ireland, Netherlands, and Denmark, but I seem to be confused between the latter two.

I'm based out of India, with 8+ years of experience in marketing. The quality of life here in India is questionable. While I have everything I could have wanted, it feels like you're constantly fighting to live (whether it's the pollution, extreme temperatures, dust, or overpopulation). I want to move out and explore, however I'm also not sure how I'll fit into the culture of a new country as an expat. Right now in India, I'm in a siloed comfort zone, where there's not much of a social life, but comfortable enough that there are no needs which are unmet.

For those who have been in a similar situation, could you please share your experience? Some things I'm unsure about include social life and accommodation.

Living alone, I'd prefer to talk to people, make friends, and have a good social life. In terms of accommodation, I'll need to arrange something before moving, as my company won't have any on-ground support. So I'm not sure about arranging long-term accommodation (I'm open to cities closer to Amsterdam, and would probably want either a co-living space or a single bedroom furnished house).

I also don't know Dutch, but I'm keen on learning.
