Шерочка с Mашерочкой

This is an old Russian idiom used to describe two inseparable, very close friends who go everywhere together. The phrase actually originated in 18th-19th century elite girls' academies (like the Smolny Institute). Since boys weren't allowed at dance practices, the girls danced in pairs and addressed each other in French: “mon cher” (my dear, masculine) and “ma chère” (my dear, feminine). Over time, it adapted into Russian phonetics as a single playful expression.

I struggled to find a interesting foreground or subject here. It feels incomplete to me, but the drama in the sky was just too good not to share. Maybe some other day have more luck.
