Today I was on a bike with my friend, traveling from Bhakrota to the Elements mall.After crossing Kamla Nehru Pulia, the traffic was at a complete standstill because of waterlogging.

The worst part was that water from the service lane had overflowed onto the main highway. Near the traffic signal, the water was almost knee-deep. After crossing towards 200 Ft Bypass, there was another heavily waterlogged stretch. In some places, the water level was almost as high as the footpath.

This raises a few questions:

•Why aren't the sewer lines and stormwater drains cleaned before the monsoon?

•Where is the maintenance budget actually being spent?

•Are the drains undersized, clogged, or is there simply no accountability?

•Why does the same problem happen every year?

This isn't just an inconvenience. It creates massive traffic jams, damages vehicles, increases the risk of accidents, and makes commuting miserable.

Has anyone else faced the same issue today or during previous rains? What do you think is the real reason behind Jaipur's recurring waterlogging problem?

Is learning python in 2026 is worth it?

Pata Hai Aaj Kya hua..

Aaj main aur mera ek dost uske birthday ke plans discuss kar rahe the ki kahan jayenge aur kya khayenge. Tabhi mujhe last December ki ek baat yaad aa gayi.

Hamare college ke ek dost ka birthday tha. Birthday se kuch din pehle hum discuss kar rahe the ki kya khayenge aur kahan jayenge. Lekin phir pata chala ki usi time internal exams hain, to ghoomne ka plan cancel ho gaya.

Fir hum sirf khane ki baat karne lage. Humne birthday wale dost se budget pucha. Uska budget sunke laga ki shayad hume bhi contribute karna padega. Hum 5 log the, lekin birthday uska tha to hum usko convince kar rahe the ki kuch simple hi kar lenge.

Tab wo achanak se puchta hai, "Tum log egg khate ho kya?"

Humne bola, "Haan."

Fir wo bola "To aajao boiled egg khate hai ."

Kasam se us waqt humari hasi nahi ruk rahi thi. Hum soch rahe the ki bhai shayad samosa, pizza ya kuch aur bolega, lekin usne seedha boiled eggs ka plan de diya. 😭

End me birthday wale din exam dene ke baad hum usko ek cafe le gaye. Usne waise bhi bahut kam kharcha karne ki koshish ki, aur humne bhi zyada force nahi kiya. Pizza, cold drink aur cake ke saath chhota sa celebration kar liya.

Pata nahi kyun, lekin aaj birthday plans ki baat hote hi sabse pehle wahi boiled eggs wali memory yaad aa gayi. 😂
