IDOLS

Think YUNGBLUD performing Wild Woman at Red Rocks does an amazing job showcasing what was so special about the IDOLS North American tour. Please everyone comment your favorite parts of the IDOLS tour, any of the runs, this year or last!!

Took me a bit, but finally found (too many) words.

Having caught them last fall and this summer, it really stands out to me how dedicated they are to their respective crafts and how they strive to improve. The growth and improvements were so apparent. I truly see them as a strong and cohesive team, and I think that bond is the reason why this tour was just so successful. I know touring is so hard, especially somewhere like North America where you cover so many sheer miles, but I think that’s a massive accomplishment, especially when things get tough.

The way they put themselves out there, across time zones, night after night, especially Dom, you can see it here, he is truly larger than life on stage, larger yet still up on the screen… It’s so clear that they love the music, and they love sharing it with people. There’s a quote by Frankie Knuckles that I love, simple but really gets to the core of it: “When I feel it, so do you.”

Watching Yungblud close out his beautiful Roman Empire themed IDOLS set broken and battle weary hurts my heart a little, but I am inspired by the bravery and vulnerability that he brings to the stage. The man is a warrior, and that realness and grit is fucking rock ‘n roll. He is not pretending to be perfect, and I love that about him.

Vilar de Mouros Festival in Portugal Tuesday and the Pukkelpop Festival in Belgium on Friday, August 21st, and then Yungblud is scheduled to heal up and get his shit together. 🤣

All kidding aside, it’s my hope that this sub can be a place that humanizes them, supports their artistic output, and trusts their agency in navigating their challenging careers. I believe in them so much. They are giving their all and have so many people in their corner. I hope this can be a small corner of cheerleaders and a space that feels safe for everyone. 📣

Getting off my soapbox. You guys with me? xxx

update yungblud (barely) standing

Aw poor Dom! Really sucks he got so hurt. I got road rash on the back of my leg once, rollerblading fast to my music in booty shorts thinking I was hot shit, and damn is it sooo painful. So sorry, hope he feels better soon. ❤️‍🩹

Not sure what happened this weekend, but I took over as a mod here and will be back to posting soon. Love ya guys. 🖤

Edit: Ooof broke his leg btw guys. 😢 Poor Dom.

Jesse Jo Stark Fire of Love

Happy Saturday, dolls! Watching that cute interview Jesse did about her wardrobe, noticed she mentioned that Fire of Love was one of her first ‘real’ music videos, so thought I’d share. I love this song.

When I watch these old videos and interviews, it stands out to me how much more self-assured Jesse Jo is now, and I absolutely love that for her. Love how creative and artistic she is, and I’m so excited to watch what she does next. ❤️‍🔥

Yungblud and his manager

This is the image that always comes to mind for me whenever I see people say Yungblud is being controlled. 🤣

Justttt putting this here, and then I’m stepping away from the Dom Is Dominating flair before we descend into complete chaos.

I really am so proud of Dom and all of them. I’ve got a lot of gushing to do about their North American tour, but I still can’t find the words. It was so special.

Enjoy the weekend, guys. I’ll catch ya on the flip. 🖤🖤🖤

John Mayall & the Bluesbreakers Barewires

Woke up with the song Where Did I Belong? in my head today. Not sure why it’s not part of his Apple Music catalogue, would hate for this one to be lost to the sands of time.

One of my favorites. Pretty genre blending, but figured you guys might like it here on the blues sub.
