Anyways, I posted it yesterday, but let me explain the story in proper detail. Basically, last week I had a 5 AM shift, so I had to take a 3 AM bus to get to the city. Anyways, I realized I started sneezing and coughing. I was going to call out, but I realized that I was still training, and I could just go to my doctor after work . for safety I wore a face mask.
However, my manager, who was a new manager, was upset that I wore it. She was like, “Yeah, okay, just after today, you can’t wear it unless you have respiratory issues.” Anyways, I’m taking orders, and I don’t think I was speaking to the customer disrespectfully. It was a simple, “How are you? What can I do for you?” I feel like she was nitpicking at me.
She interrupts me in front of the customer and says, “You cannot speak to the customer like that.” The guy who I was taking at the register looks at her confused and says, “She wasn’t speaking to me anyway .” Then she tells me to go to the back and says again that I cannot speak to customers like that. She also told me to remove my mask and said I needed to act like how I was acting during my interview. She said I couldn’t have “low energy.” This is when I apologized in person but also after work in a text message . I said my intention was not to be rude.
Anyways, yesterday I came in for a 4 AM shift. I was there for two hours, and then she told me to come to the back. She said that she had decided to let me go and added that she had instructed me three times to smile and I didn’t, which was not true.
I feel like it was a personal issue against me because I came to every shift early and was always happy to be there. There also a older women at the store who stay cursing in front of customers and goes on rants on how much she hates this establishment . There are also people who have done a bunch of call-outs and no-shows leaving the store heavily understaffed . I don’t know what was her issue ; she’s probably one of the weirdest managers I’ve ever had.

I WAITED FOR THE 5:25 AM TRAIN, JUST TO GET EARLY TO WORK, JUST FOR IT TO COME AT 6:09 AM. THEN IT WAS A BUNCH OF MEN WHO LOOKED EXTREMELY OFF, LIKE THEY WERE ON SOME TYPE OF SUBSTANCE Stanking THE TRAIN UP

I’M SO TIRED OF THE CREEPY ASS WEIRDO WHO SELLS CANDY. HE’S ALWAYS SEXUALLY HARASSING WOMEN, AND I’VE SEEN HIM HARASS MINORS AS WELL. HE NEEDS A GOOD KICK IN THE ASS. NO, WE DON’T WANT YOUR CANDY. WE WANT YOU TO APPLY FOR A REAL JOB AND STOP HARASSING WOMEN/TEENAGERS. THIS CREEP IS AT EXCHANGE PLACE OR NEWPORT AND IS SOMETIMES SPOTTED IN BAYONNE/ WEST SIDE AVE

1st Street park is just horrible 😭 The kids are so disrespectful. A little brat was throwing firecrackers at people, and they’re constantly harassing strangers. School seriously needs to go back in session. 😭

I HATE THE LIGHT RAIL SO MUCH 😭 Going from 8th Street SUCKS. It only stays there for like 5 minutes, and then it takes an entire hour for it to come back. The elevator is ALWAYS broken too. Something MUST give. 😭
