I did some cornrows under the wig and I used some fixing spray to melt the lace better. Kinky texture is my favourite in terms of wigs

I don’t rlly like ordering hair online bc they be scamming but I got this hair from Luvme and I’ve had it in for about a week. I will say this hair is so fullalaa I got 4 packs of crochet but you really could get away with 3 if you want it less full.
As for the maintenance, I’ve just been using water and a brush to refresh it in the morning. I’ll come back and give another update when I’ve had it in for longer. But so far so good!

Hi again! So, I left all my birthday planning until last minute and haven’t decided on a style yet. I’m stuck between redoing the style in pic 1 or a modified version of pic 2, with the buns from pic 3. My dress is in the last slide for reference. I’d normally try something new but I’m scared the space buns look kinda childish so I may do the crown again or the bun for a more mature look? Please all insight is appreciated 🫶🏾

I had locs for 8 years and cut them in Oct 2025. However my hair has not grown an inch since then. 1st photo was taken in October 2025. 2nd photo was taken in August 2026. I got my bloodwork done and my iron levels are good. I wash my hair weekly. I don’t use any product except to moisturise with rose water (which worked for me when I had locs) I’m so lost.

Edit: I use shampoo and conditioner. I don’t use any other products in between washes except rose water. I mostly keep my hair in protective styles

My almost 8-year old has a LOT of long, thick, beautiful hair. I’ve always kept it in twists because she’s extremely tender-headed and having to detangle her hair after it’s been out is a NIGHTMARE.

Recently she’s become interested in redoing some of her twists and doing her hair. Now she’s complaining that she doesn’t want her hair in twists anymore and wants to try other styles. She said she will detangle and moisturize her hair if it’s out.

I’m struggling with giving her independence to learn to do her hair and also keeping her hair healthy and manageable by keeping it in twists. Idk what to do 😩

I was thinking maybe if I get a good blow dryer I can stretch her hair and try different styles. She mentioned something like French braids (which I don’t know how to do) but I don’t think I can learn to do them properly if her hair is not stretched. Any tips on blow-dryers, styles, suggestions.

My locs are naturally layered, so my locs in the back are double the length of my locs in the front 😭 It’s slightly frustrating but I’ll take it, just amazed at how fast they’re growing

Nearing one month since my last retie and I started experimenting with drawstring ponytails - pre-made and handmade!

I try and make sure my base pony is never too tight or taught around the perimeter- ALWAYS!! I love a drawstring moment because I can take it on and off like a hat if my head ever starts to feel tender and my locs come out so cute after <3

First time posting here! I thought this would be the best community to look for advice on this, especially since everyone seems really nice.

I’m in my 20s and I’ve never had braids before, but it’s something I’ve always wanted to get, since the most I’ve done with my hair is get a silk press. I’m just completely new to the process and wanted advice on what hairstyles may be best for someone whose never had braids, etiquette to follow when getting my hair done (ex, should I prep my hair before hand), and how to take care of braids once their done.

I also need that push to just get them done, every time I get the courage to just schedule an appointment, I get nervous because I honestly don’t know what to ask for. I’m also worried about damaging my hair, since I’m inexperience with braids and I’ve had negative experiences with a hairstylists for example putting a perm in my hair without asking and damaging my curls.

Apologies if any of these questions are common sense. 🙂‍↕️

I’m loving how this hair looks curled! This style was super easy to achieve with some heat protectant, a wand curler, and hair oil. I also added braids in the front and some “hair jewelry” cuffs (idk what to call them lol I normally wear them with faux locs!)

I used to use the Shea Moisturizer Hold and Shine Mist for frizz and I can’t find it ANYWHERE anymore and nothing that I’ve used since has been the same. Does anyone have any suggestions or recommendations for anti frizz spray or oil or mousse!? I’m tired of the FRIZZ!
