Mass ID checks and pat-downs at Club Legend last night (6232 Knight Arnold Rd)

Last night, Aug 8th, the Memphis Safe Task Force locked down Club Legend. They trapped everyone inside, checked every person's ID, and conducted widespread searches/stop-and-frisks on a crowd of Black patrons just trying to have fun.

A call to caregivers

Hey guys. I have been taking care of my mother who is 77 with dementia for the past 20 years of her decline. Its been hard and I find myself lost a lot. Dealing with the emotional parts of everything seems equally or perhaps more taxing than dealing with her decline.

I still dont know how to process everything. I realize we all need help and I want to be that help. Im going to make an app to help with things and I just have a few questions for the community to get me started on identifying issues.

What is your biggest challenge?

What apps do you use now?

What do you wish existed?

Kids. Are they worth it?

Hey yall,

Im just curious. How many of you parents out here are genuinely happy you decided to have children? Do any of you regret your decision and why?

My clock is ticking and I want kids but im terrified of being responsible for creating a whole person to contribute to society (hopefully).

Edit: im asking as a 35 YO taking care of a 76 YO with dementia for those of you wondering why.

Edit 2: I have to ask because im uncertain and scared. I have not had an opportunity in life to imagine myself as a mother, its all been survival until now. Now im questioning not just my life but theirs and their future, what kind of person they'll be etc. Im really looking forward to the people with kids in their 30s to answer this question.
