My indie horror game MARZU went from 350 → 407 Wishlist's in 4–5 days

Over the last 4–5 days, I started putting more effort into Reddit and sharing MARZU with different communities.

Since then, the wishlist count has jumped by 57 net wishlists, from around 350 to 407.

After 1.5 years of development, seeing this kind of response is honestly really motivating as a small indie developer.

It’s also been a good reminder that consistent marketing and actually engaging with communities can make a difference.

Next goal: 500 Wishlist's. 🚀

Added a Simple Clue Decoder for My Horror Game. Thoughts?

Hi everyone! I recently added a simple clue decoder mechanic to my psychological horror game, Marzu.

Players collect clues throughout the game and use this decoder device to reveal hidden information needed to progress. I'm aiming to make puzzle-solving feel immersive without being too complicated.

I'd really appreciate your feedback:

  • Does the mechanic look intuitive?
  • Is the decoder easy to understand?
  • Do you have any ideas to make it more engaging?

Looking For Feedback on My steam page & Demo

Looking for Feedback on My Steam Page & Demo

Hi everyone!

A few months ago, I published the Steam page for my first indie game, Marzu, a first-person horror game. Since then, I've continued improving both the Steam page and the demo based on player feedback.

I'd really appreciate it if you could take a look and let me know what you think.

I'm especially looking for feedback on:

  • 🎮 The Steam page – Does it make you want to Wishlist the game?
  • 🎥 The trailer – Does it grab your attention? Is it too slow or confusing?
  • 📸 Screenshots & capsule art – Do they showcase the game well?
  • 📝 Store description – Is it clear and interesting?
  • 🕹️ The demo – If you try it, I'd love to hear your thoughts on the gameplay, pacing, puzzles, atmosphere, performance, and anything else that stands out.

I'm open to honest criticism, so don't hold back. I'd rather hear what's not working now so I can improve the game before release.

Thank you so much for your time and feedback—it really helps an indie developer!

Is it normal for Wishlist growth to slow down after the initial launch? Looking for advice.

Hey everyone,

I'm a solo indie developer working on my psychological horror game Marzu, and I'd really appreciate some honest feedback.

I launched my Steam page a few months ago. The initial wishlist growth was encouraging, but recently it has slowed down quite a bit. I've been updating the demo based on player feedback and trying to improve the game, but I'm wondering if there's something about my Steam page that's preventing more people from wishlisting.

Current stats:

  • 🎮 ~2,000 demo players
  • ❤️ ~350+ wishlists

I'd really appreciate feedback on things like:

  • Steam capsule
  • Screenshots
  • Trailer
  • Store description
  • Overall first impression
  • Whether the game hook is clear enough

I'm not looking for people to be nice—I'd rather hear honest opinions that can help me improve.

Thanks in advance! Every bit of feedback helps, and I hope I can improve the page before release.

Looking for feedback on my Steam capsule for my indie horror game, MARZU. Does this artwork make you interested enough to click on the store page?

I'm especially interested in:

  • First impression
  • Readability at small sizes
  • Horror atmosphere
  • Anything that feels off or generic

All feedback is welcome, even harsh criticism.
