Lukomir Village Without the Hike?

Hi everyone,

My wife and I will be visiting Sarajevo soon and would love to visit Lukomir Village. I enjoy hiking and would be happy to do it, but due to a health condition my wife isn't able to hike long distances.

We're wondering if there are any tours or transportation options from Sarajevo that go directly to Lukomir by vehicle, without requiring the full hike. We'd mainly like to spend some time in the village, enjoy the scenery, have lunch, and experience the local culture.

Any recommendations for tour companies, guides, or transport options would be greatly appreciated.

Looking to Meet a Local Couple in Bosnia 🇧🇦☕

Hi everyone!

My partner and I (both 27) will be visiting Bosnia from 27 September to 3 October, spending 3 days in Mostar and 3 days in Sarajevo.

We absolutely love Bosnia, especially its Islamic heritage, beautiful architecture, rich culture, and stunning nature. We'd love the chance to meet a local couple for a casual coffee and conversation.

We're not looking for free tour guides or anything fancy, just genuine chats to learn more about everyday life in Bosnia. We'd love to hear about your experiences, what you do, your culture, traditions, and what life is really like from a local perspective.

If anyone is interested, feel free to reach out. Also, if there's a Muslim brother, I would love to meet in the mosque.

Looking forward to visiting your beautiful country. ❤️🇧🇦

Best Way to Get from Skopje to Prizren

Hi,

I’ll be travelling through the Balkans this September and was wondering if there are any morning buses from Skopje to Prizren. I’ve only been able to find an afternoon service online.

Are there any earlier bus options available, or would you recommend any alternative ways to travel between Skopje and Prizren?

Thank you for your help.

Has anyone successfully negotiated working remotely from another country for a month?

Title: Has anyone successfully negotiated working remotely from another country for a month?
I’ve been with my current company for over 1.5 years and things are going well. My role is hybrid (1 day a week in the office), but realistically all of my work can be done remotely.
I’m wondering how common it is to ask your employer if you can work from another country for a short period, say around 1 month. I’d still work my normal Australian hours and be fully available.
Has anyone here successfully requested something like this?
How did you approach the conversation?
What reasons did you give?
Were there any concerns around tax, HR, security, or insurance?
Did your employer approve it, and if so, were there any conditions?
I’d love to hear your experiences

Is an online/ODL master’s degree from Universiti Malaya recognised the same as an on-campus degree?

Hi everyone,
I am considering the Master of Bioinformatics (Remote Learning/ODL) at Universiti Malaya and wanted to get some opinions.
Is the online/ODL degree considered equivalent to the on-campus version in terms of recognition and value?
Also, would completing an ODL master’s cause any issues if someone wants to pursue a PhD or research degree in the future?
Would appreciate any insights from current students, graduates, or anyone familiar with UM’s online programs. Thanks!

Best Halal ETF for Saving for a short term.

Assalamu Alaikum everyone,
I am saving for Hajj for myself and my wife, Insha’Allah, with the goal of going in 2027 or 2028. So far I’ve saved around AUD 14,000, and I am planning to continue adding to it every month.
Rather than leaving the money in a regular savings account, I’d like to keep it invested in a halal way while we save. Since our investment horizon is only about 1–2 years, I’m looking for something that balances capital preservation with reasonable growth.
What halal ETFs or other Shariah-compliant investment options would you recommend for this timeframe? I’d really appreciate hearing what others have used for similar goals.
JazakAllahu Khair.

Cyber Conference in Kuala Lumpur

Hi everyone,
I’ll be in Kuala Lumpur from 9–15 August and was wondering if there are any cybersecurity conferences, meetups, workshops,
Or, any 1- 2-day hands-on training in areas like malware analysis, cyber threat intelligence, DFIR, OSINT, or threat hunting. It doesn’t have to be a big conference—even small community workshops or training providers would be great.
Any recommendations would be much appreciated. Thanks!

Seeking sincere advice and duas for managing ED & PE

Salam Alaykum everyone,

I am reaching out anonymously because I need some sincere advice regarding Erectile Dysfunction (ED) and Premature Ejaculation (PE).

Like many, I struggle with this and it creates a lot of stress for both me and my spouse. I know our religion teaches patience and communication in marriage, but this affects my confidence and our intimacy.

I want to seek ways to fix this. I am already making dua, but I have a few specific questions for the brothers and sisters here:

  • Medical help: Did anyone consult a doctor or sex therapist for this?
  • Treatments: Have you found any safe, effective natural remedies, supplements, or exercises (like pelvic floor/Kegels) that helped your stamina?
  • Marriage advice: How did you and your spouse work through this as a team without letting it damage your relationship?

Please keep your responses respectful.

JazakAllah Khair for your support and advice.

How common is it for US/European companies to hire remote cybersecurity contractors?

How common is it for US/European companies to hire remote contract or part-time cybersecurity professionals?
I was wondering how common it is for US or European companies to hire remote cybersecurity professionals on a part-time or contract basis, especially for roles like CTI, SOC, DFIR, or security engineering.
Do most companies only hire people who are already local (or have work authorization in that country), or are there plenty of opportunities for someone working remotely from another country?
I’d love to hear from anyone who’s done this or has experience hiring for these kinds of roles.
