Am I wrong to be upset at my husband acting like he’s got a crush on his sisters friend?

We went to my in laws for dinner and my husbands friend always comes around too so they can have a game of pool so he was there. My husbands sisters friend came over and I didn’t see her but they both said hi.

His mum came in and said to the friend that she’s single and can introduce him to her. He said no but she kept suggesting it. Then on her way out she said she had a crush on my husband years ago, and he says “really?!” looking a bit too excited.

A few mins go by and he spots her car on the drive and he compliments it - “shes got a nice car tbf”.

Then on our way out he keeps mentioning how it’s nice, new etc etc

I said he should’ve asked what she does for a living and he said no, he’ll just ask his sister. Why would he care?

He’s not particularly close to his siblings, never has been so it’s not like he’s close to their friends. It all rubbed me the wrong way.

A weekend in York

Ended up having the chocolate cups another 2 times

Edit for more info

Photo 1: The Cross Keys - English breakfast and sausage sandwich

Photo 2: The Biga+ - Garlic bun and cannoli (didn’t taste the freshest but not awful)

Photo 3: Monk Bar Chocolatiers - melted chocolate cups (highly recommend!). They also do their own range of chocolates and offer a 6 pack of these to diy at home.

Photo 4: Clucking Oinks at Spark - The Rodeo and a Nashville burger (very tender and fresh)

Photo 5: Heavenly Desserts - chocolate crepe and ice cream

Photo 6-7: Fancy Hanks - Bloomer onion, pork belly bites, chicken tenders, and Mac n cheese bites (all tasted tender, fresh, ended up over-ordering so couldn’t finish it all. Also too heavy of a meal for lunch but very taste nonetheless)

What do you do for meals out/foods other people have cooked?

We usually go to my parents a couple times a week and once to my in laws where dinner is cooked. I obviously don’t want to make it awkward and refuse it/ask them what’s gone into it.
How do you track these calories?

Solicitors have our deposit funds but say completion can’t be for another 3 weeks - how is that possible?

All enquiries are satisfied and they’ve requested funds. They asked when we want to complete a week ago and we said before the end of august. They had our deposit funds from the LISA accounts and I’ve asked if it can be moved to this week.

The solicitor has come back and said they need to report to us still and that completion won’t be possible until September as funds need to be requested from the lender.

Am I right to ask why it’s not been requested yet?

Or is this normal?

Edit: I did ask and I got response to say the 28th will be possible but exchange and completion on the same day.

Is my friends husband getting in her face as big of a red flag as I think?

This is her account of details. Both late 20s.

His family is a big one and they live on a street with all his relatives not more than a couple doors away. Her parent’s house is about an hour away.

There was one wedding event going on, she didn’t feel like going as she was ill and on her period and generally upset because he had left her the evenings during the week to go and help out. She does have pcos so her periods are a lot rougher than usual.

She said she’ll come and make the effort for the main event but will get back after a little bit so that way it’s not like she’s not shown face.
He basically got in her face. Pinned her down on the bed, scaring her and said she’s always ill and like that. He then walked her to the mirror and said “look at yourself” as in look at the state of her.

This to me screams abusive. Shes in between moving into their new house and trying to make it work and leaving for good. They’ve got control of her gold and valuables in a safe so shes trying to get that back before leaving.

I want things to work out but it’s just not worth it in my opinion. Second thoughts?

Would your spouse go to a funeral on your half of the family?

My dad’s uncle passed away. We weren’t overly close but he was a prominent family member growing up as we’d always go over to their house, the last event he came out to was my wedding earlier this year before his health declined.

My partner hasn’t met him apart from at the wedding. I’ll be honest, the man wasn’t always nice (rudely spoke his mind) but I guess it’s a sign of respect to go.

My partner doesn’t want to go, my family are expecting him there. Will it be rude? I personally don’t mind/care as it’s his choice and he’s not obliged to go to a funeral he didn’t know the deceased that well of.

I’m not grieving and I don’t feel overly upset, but I know I will be teary because I tend to get as such when I see other people upset rather than being upset myself.

Acca affiliate - time not signed off and little scope for qualifying.

My manager has signed up and it has her name but it has a waiting label under approved.

Do I send her a reminder? I feel verbally reminding her will mean she could forget easily.

I also haven’t met all objectives as I work under the company accountant and there isn’t scope for growth I can’t meet the objectives where it’s something about managing a team and such. Do I wait or find something else?

The coworker who works the same role hasn’t taught me everything and some things he did weren’t quite right as per my manager.

What do I do?

Upset at my husband for not leaving a family event early enough?

We went to a birthday gathering at his family’s house at 2 and said we’d come back by like 5, time flew and apparently people were told to come at 4 so it was only just getting busy.

I told him he should have asked someone but he didn’t.

Then we sit there with his sisters and he’s not really talking to anyone else so I mention we should get going at around 8. He ignores me and stays sat. Then at 9 I say something but sort of keep saying it. His sisters were staying over so they weren’t in a rush.

He does get to see his sisters every week when we go over so it’s not like I was stopping him catching up.

I didn’t know anyone else there.

There were only picky bits and I only had a little, so wanted to get food on the way home and he agreed. Then he started talking about how he gets tired so easy and sleeping early might help etc etc so I said leave it. I told him I’d barely eaten today, he said there was plenty, I said I didn’t like much of it and he said that’s my problem. While we were sat with his sisters, he sort of kept leaning in closer to her, having inside jokes and left me sat aside and barely spoke to me.

I was obviously upset. I ended up making toast when we got back and made him one. We were at my brother’s so I said a quick hello and went to bed, and he stayed sat for another 2 hours despite telling me how tired he gets.

He also knows about how my dad has treated everyone in the past, and when his family mention bringing him over I’ll nor along because I don’t want to sit out my dirty laundry to everyone but at the party, he said I don’t want to bring him around like it’s his place to.

Was I in the wrong to be upset?

How do I get my partner to be as passionate as he was recently?

Yesterday was the first time in a while that he was physically affection at the level I want it (constant touching/kissing).

We usually go missionary to help me finish so his hands are propping himself up a lot of it. We barely have sex even though we both have high drives but still don’t get the time or have the energy after work.

I know the obvious is ask but I do. He’s just not overly affectionate but on occasion he’s held off long enough t want it that bad. Like we called the night before as I was staying away and he didn’t masturbate which made him “hungrier”.

I guess the question is how do I incite that in him more often?

Can IT departments see files I’ve deleted?

Deleted some files I didn’t think we needed at work and it looks like we do. Is there any way the IT department can get it back? They’re not in my recycle bin and no previous versions are available for me to dig them out from. Any help?

How do you deal with silly drivers?

Colleague of mine pulls out without looking, never indicates and floors it around residential areas and corners. Sometimes with a 12 year old in the car. I only know of this because we go home the same way for the first 5 mins. There’s a road that runs around another road and just means you don’t give way when the other does, and she’ll go 40 down it to avoid stopping. It’s a residential area with cars parked both sides and traffic flows both ways.

I’ve noticed she’ll usually speeds over speed humps but to show off (I guess) she’ll slow down until I catch up to speed off again.

She drives like a lunatic and I try to leave a couple mins after or hang back and let other cars go so I’m not right behind as it’s just annoying.

What food would you take/want at a family party?

It’s my husband’s grandads birthday this weekend and everyone’s taking some food as his grandma is holding a party at their house. From what I heard, the sister in laws are doing some pork and beef, and some cakes.

My partner said he usually just takes beer.

They’re all English and I’m Indian so I’m thinking samosas. I’m not sure if onion bhajias will be good cold but I could do some of those too.
Other options include chicken wings. I know they like British Indian food like chicken tikka/butter chicken so I could do dry chicken pieces with those spices.
Would something like a biscuit no-bake dessert (just biscuits with butter and condensed milk as the base and topped with chocolate) be a good idea?

I don’t want to cook all this with my mum only for it to go to waste or end up doing too much.

I’m not too sure on exact numbers but it’ll be at least 20 people from what I know.

I’m only planning to do about 20-30 finger food size pieces of each thing.

Any ideas?

Partner has a photo vault app he won’t share the password for - red flag?

Per title. I’ve been on his phone many times when mine goes flat and while looking for the tiktok app, I noticed the photo vault app in one of the folders. I asked him what it is and what’s the password and he just said not to worry about it.

Doing makeup in the afternoon to let it marinate for the evening?

Has anyone done this? I know mine looks glowy and natural in the afternoon when I do it in the morning. I’m heading out in the evening so planning on doing it at lunch.

I’ve done it right before going out in the past but it just looks “too fresh” if that makes sense.

Do I really love my husband if I think about other people?

I love my husband, he treats me so well. Sometimes I do think about sleeping with other people. Like I don’t feel guilt about having a dream where I’m cheating when I should. I’d be upset if he thought like this. I can’t bring myself to talk about it with anyone.

It’s no one in particular, it’s just a thought. I wouldn’t actually do it. I hadn’t dated much before my husband, let alone been intimate with anyone, while he had slept with over 10 women.

Does anyone else relate? I feel bad about the situation as a whole because he deserves better.

Would you feel like you have to go to the gym if your partner does?

I can walk miles for hours but I don’t enjoy running or have stuck with a gym while my partner pays a premium for David Lloyd gyms, and goes running or tennis on his days off.

I’m not fat by any means but building muscle wouldn’t hurt.

I sometimes feel a slight pressure to get fitter than I am just to keep up.

How long after the sellers solicitors sending enquiry replies until completion?

Our solicitors got replies to the enquiries about 1 and a half weeks ago, mortgage offer has been issued too. How long until exchange and completion to expect?

I chased it up a week after they had the replies but I’ve not heard back, and I don’t want to pester them.

It’s a no chain purchase in England.

I guess the question is how often do I chase?

Possibly going to a spa: is it okay for me to wear a swimsuit despite having (self inflicted) scarring?

It’s mainly on my thighs, nothing recent. I have noticed people looking and making comments while on holiday and at the pool before. We’re thinking to go to a spa for my husband’s birthday so I don’t want to feel like I’m doing something wrong not hiding them. I have been looking into shorts style swimsuits in the meantime.
