Poszukiwania internatu
Downloading music onto mp3 player. Please send help
Ok, so this is more so an issue with the media player on my laptop that I use to download songs onto my mp3, but I didn't know where else to post this, so here goes. Basically, whenever I go to drag my downloaded mp3 files into the media player, it changes some of the songs to different ones with the same title. I don't know how this is even happening because I'M LITERALLY DRAGGING IN SPECIFIC SONG FILES.
No matter what I do it continues to change switch them and now I've got a bunch of bullshit songs I don't want on my mp3 player. Please send help because this is driving me insane.
I'm the worst bowler I've ever met
Take a wild guess as to which player I was lol
Ink cartridges in pens are purposely made using opaque plastic so you can't see how much ink is left, and when the pen inevitably stops working (even if there's ink left) you'll assume it's empty and buy more pens.
You know how ballpoint pens like to occasionally stop working, despite still having ink, but will start again if you scribble with them for a bit? Yeah, companies are definitely capitalising on that by making it impossible to check the ink level, therefore ensuring you buy more pens.
I translated the announcements from the show in Florence
As a kid I used to ask adults awkward questions I knew the answer to, just to make them uncomfortable.
I recently remembered how many adults I terrorised using this tactic, so I figured I'd share. Basically, when I was around 8 I realised two things:
I was still young enough to plausibly not know a lot of things about sex and other adult-only happenings (I already knew the answer to every single question I asked)
Asking adults about these things, especially in crowded spaces, made them very uncomfortable.
For some reason I decided to weaponize this knowledge against the unsuspecting adults in my life (mostly my parents). A prime example of this would be this one time I (around the age of 9) was watching a police show with my grandma, and the episode featured a prostitute. Obviously, I jumped at the chance to ask my poor grandma what a prostitute was (I knew damn well what they were) just to watch her attempt to string together a child-appropriate explanation of what a prostitute was.
The section of the drug store with condoms was always my favourite place to strike, because if I said it loud enough I could turn a few heads of passersby (extra effectiveness on my chosen victim).
I did this every time the opportunity arose until I was around 11, and figured I might be getting a bit too old for my act to be believable. I have no idea why I did this, other than the fact I was just a weird kid. I feel so bad for all the adults I targeted with this 😭
Does this look good?
I recently got a new haircut and I've been styling it with texture powder but I genuinely can't tell if it looks good and I'm kinda losing my mind over this. All advice and feedback welcome! Please be honest 🙏😭
Skyler and Walt buying the car wash
I just watched S4 E3 where they get the deal to buy the car wash from Bogdan and Skyler stresses about the 320 dollars spent on celebratory champagne. While she does have a good point, because no unemployed teacher is buying 320 dollar champagne, it really bugs me that they're completely unconcerned about explaining where they got 800000 dollars to buy the car wash. Is it adressed later? Like at all? No spoilers pls 🙏
Edit: I'm an idiot
I'm going to the concert!!
I just need to tell SOMEONE or I think I'll explode. I recently got tickets to go to one of their shows with my best friend and I AM SO EXCITED!! MCR has been my favourite band since middle school and I can't believe I'm going to see them live soon!! This is going to be my first proper concert ever and I can't wait!!
Should I drop my guitar teacher?
Hey everyone, I'm looking for advice about my guitar lessons.
I've had this teacher for about 6 months, and I'm wondering whether I should drop her. My main reason is that I feel like she isn't actually teaching me anything - during the lessons I do basically everything myself. While she did help me quite a lot in the beginning, now she mostly goes on her phone. I'm currently learning some finger style songs, but I just figure them out by myself from tabs. Don't get me wrong, we do play together sometimes, I'm just saying how it usually looks.
Another thing is that the lessons are quite expensive - 120zł, or around 32 USD for 45 minutes.
I feel it's also important to mention that finding a different teacher isn't an option for me as I live rurally and there aren't any other teachers nearby, so it's her or nothing.
How do guitar lessons normally look? This is the only guitar teacher I've ever had, so I'm not sure how the lessons are supposed to look and I'm just hoping for some input.
Brakujące strony?
Ostatnio dostałam nowy słownik i jak się okazuje brakuje mu ze środka 65 stron xD
Am I the only one that hated the film adaptation?
Alright, before you crucify me, please just know that I tried SO hard to like it. Let me preface this all by saying that the book was fantastic and I've reread it multiple times, so obviously I wanted to watch the film.
First thing: I could not find it ANYWHERE. I ended up having to watch it through a link to a google drive I found in a pinterest comment section lol, but I digress. While there were some redeeming moments, for the most part it was a painful watch.
I have two main bones to pick with it. Namely, the acting and the music.
While some of the acting was fine, like that in the case of Darry and Dally's actors, some of it had me physically cringing (I'm looking at you, C. Thomas Howell and Ralph Maccio). I barely made it through the church scenes because it was just so stilted and awkward. Maybe I shouldn't be so critical, considering that they were pretty young and inexperienced.
Secondly, the loud and badly timed music. Probably the most prominent example is the scene when Cherry and Pony talk towards the end (after Pony and Johnny came back from Windrixville). You know, they're having an important conversation, but there's loud, ill-fitting music blaring in the background. I'm pretty sure this was only in the extended version though.
Do you want to know the worst part? I watched it not once, but twice! I watched it the first time, hated it, went online to see what others think and lo and behold everyone's acting like it's the second coming of Christ!? After reading all the raving reviews I decided that I must've watched it with my eyes closed the first time, so decided to rewatch it. AND GUESS WHAT?? I HATED IT JUST AS MUCH AS THE FIRST TIME! Guess that's four hours of my life I'll never get back...
Am I being too critical? Am I going to get chased off the internet for disliking a cult classic? I don't know, but please tell me what you think.
Reading in russian
I've recently started reading my first book in russian!! I need to check a lot of words, so it's been slow going. At this rate, I'll go grey before I finish it xD Please tell me it's going to get better. Anyhow, I'm still optimistic!!
Good books for beginners
Hey everyone, I've been learning russian for almost 2 years and I've been wanting to find something to read. I can't say much in russian, but I understand a lot, mostly because my native language is also slavic, so I'd be looking for something A1-A2, maybe B1 (but that's a big maybe). Does anyone have good suggestions? Thanks in advance for any replies!!
