Businesses can accelerate the adoption of Gridcoin by accepting mixed Gridcoin+USD transactions and establishing gridcoin’s value as a coupon.

Here is an example:

A house painter accepts a Gridcoin as one basis point discount on his price. So for a paint job that would normally cost $2,000, the buyer could contribute a Gridcoin a discount of 0.01% to the USD price. So 500 GRC would reduce the price by $100, a substantially greater value than trading GRC for dollars.

This solves several important problems plaguing Gridcoin

1). Removes the inflation issue

2). A mixed-money purchase derisks a business from exchange rate risk

3). Provides a self interested reason for merchants to accept GRC

4). Encourages the businesses receiving GRC to go spend them, increasing the velocity of money.

5). Creates a parallel exchange rate for GRC that is much more valuable than the GRC on the open market.

I know this is a bit convoluted, and in some ways counter intuitive, but I firmly believe this is a crucial intermediate step to encourage widespread Gridcoin adoption.

Something about it felt so right for this set to go into the hands of someone going to play with it. No shade against collectors, nothing wrong with that at all, but it just made me happy to know someone would be as excited as I was once upon a time to receive this set.

Anyway my opponent basically farted for 30ish minutes of gameplay. It was very distracting. Some were silent, some were raucous and spirited. They all smelled terrible. He clearly is on a fast food diet.

I’m trying to get a situation where some of the illiberal states survive into the 1900s for a retro futurist story I’m writing

In my alt history the Hapsburg Austro-Hungarian Empire solves the Serbian question by forcefully integrating all the Serb people into the Empire as an equal, creating the Austro-Hungarian-Serbia TRIPLE Monarchy. Yes it is a handful I know.

In the real world this was an idea sometimes discussed by a few Austrian elites but was generally considered a longshot or maybe even fringe idea.

Would the flag dramatically change with the addition of Serbia ?

Often times the Alamo, but I also had some kind of Fort Apache set that I think was my brothers first.

But here’s the thing, even with the Alamo set I would organize the Mexican soldiers into some kind of defensive position of their own for the night, as if some sort of unseen monster wreak havoc if they weren’t on guard.
