Is the Trimui Smart Pro S a good choice for me?

Is the Trimui Smart Pro S a good choice for me?

So I'm torn between two budget handhelds: the Trimui Smart Pro S (~$47 / ₱2,700) and the Ayaneo Pocket Air Mini (~$97 / ₱5,600). My reasoning for getting the Pam is PS2 and GC specifically Silent Hill 2, God Hand, and Resident Evil 1 Remake (GC).

The Ayaneo Pocket Air Mini runs Android with a Helio G90T. PS1, N64, and Dreamcast run great, but PS2 and GameCube require a lot of tweaking and even then results are inconsistent (According to my research).

The Trimui Smart Pro S is even more clear-cut cause it runs Linux on an Allwinner A523, and reviews flatly say it's not a PS2 or GameCube device. It tops out reliably at PSP/Dreamcast/N64 level. Half the price.

Here's my logic though, if PS2 and GC performance on the Ayaneo is janky anyway, why pay double? I'd rather just grab the Trimui for everything up to PSP/N64 and call it a day, it handles that range perfectly fine.

So is the Trimui just the obvious pick here, or am I missing something in this price range, or maybe the Ayaneo is actually viable for PS2 and GC?

RG 40XX H face buttons.

Anyone know if 35xx h buttons will work on these? They're the only models I could that have 3d printable files

I love this thing but man the buttons hurt my finger

Is the RG40XXH good for me?

Heya y'all. I'm currently looking for a new handheld after selling my PS Vita phat. Right now I'm in talks with someone to buy their RG 40XXH for $40. My main factors in buying a handheld are

1.Brightness - I want a vivid and bright screen for my poor eyes

2.Pocketability - I want it to fit my decently sized pockets. Since I wear pretty large pants since I'm tall I think it'll fit?

  1. Performance - I want to play up to PS1 and at least some sprinkles of DS (Dawn of Sorrow), Dreamcast (Code Veronica X), and PSP (Vice City Stories) and some Portmaster games like Vjce city, GTA3, Majoras Mask etc

  2. Comfort - I want something I can play on comfortably. I have a Powkiddy V90s and as much as I love the thing playing on it is just plain uncomfy

Should I get the Anbernic RG35XXH or R36H?

I currently own a Powkiddy V90S and love it but the lack of analog sticks and the vertical layout is proving to be a pain

My most important factor is which has a better and brighter screen?

I finally understand why the OG Resident Evil 3 is better than the Remake

Playing the OG RE3 recently made me realize just how much the remake dropped the ball. The original is legitimately a more complete game in almost every way that matters.

The city actually felt like a city. Raccoon City in the OG had multiple distinct areas, Uptown, the streets, the clock tower, the graveyard, the park. The remake condensed all of that into what felt like two or three corridors. You genuinely felt like you were surviving in a place that existed.

Nemesis was actually scary. In the OG, Nemesis could show up at almost any point in fixed areas and you had to make real decisions, do I fight, do I run, do I waste resources. He had distinct forms, he evolved, and beating him rewarded you with actual loot. In the remake he's basically a scripted setpiece boss that shows up when the game tells him to.

The live selection system was underrated. Those branching choice moments added genuine replay value and made runs feel different. The remake just removed it entirely with no replacement.

Content-wise it's not even close. The clock tower segment, the graveyard, the park, all cut. The remake is noticeably shorter and thinner than even RE2 Remake which came out before it. It genuinely felt rushed.

OG Jill is just a better written character. She's competent, composed, and commanding without the game needing to constantly remind you of it. She feels like a trained S.T.A.R.S. operative who knows what she's doing, cool under pressure, a little dry, but never loses her humanity. Remake Jill leans way too hard on the edgy action hero angle, dropping f-bombs every other line like that substitutes for actual characterization.

I have this little thing that's still in pretty good condition except for the left analog which I plan on replacing.

Only problem is I barely use it so I listed it at $90 and got offers left and right. I figured since it's a hot commodity, is it a bad idea to sell it? Especially since it's just rising in prices thanks to supply and demand
