Is some kind of middle ground between a free press and a state controlled press that the UK could employ to try and prevent the relentless right-leaning propaganda foisted on the electorate?

The free press in the UK is working to the detriment of the country. Is there no way the UK authorities can impose stricter rules on newspapers and social media with regards to honesty and content?

Thoughts on Barming/Aylesford/West Malling?

Looking at moving our young family out this way and was wondering what the areas are like in terms of schools, safety, pubs and general "niceness"?

And also, any opinions on the new builds going up in the areas? We aren't set on getting a new build but quite like the look of the Poppies and Pippin estates.

Watches in the affordable space (microbrands, China) cater too heavily to people with skinny wrists

I browsed the Henry Archer and Traska sites recently and there isn't one watch for sale over 40mm. I keep reading rave reviews about San Martin, I look on their website and all the decent watches are 39mm or under.

Do skinny-wristed cucks have too much of a voice? They seem to pollute discussion around any watch over 40mm with complaints about it's size and I wonder if it has an effect on those designing the watches, particularly in the Microbrand space where the creators are heavily on social media.

Reckon Mido will release any new colours for the Multifort TV Big Date this year?

Im going to get one of these but can't decide on which colour combo to get. Leaning towards the black with orange strap currently but do you think we'll see new colours any time soon?

New build estate "affordable housing"

Looking at moving our young family to either 214 or 174 on the below estate and some friends have spooked us a little about the volume of affordable housing surrounding the properties.

Having done some brief reading affordable housing is a bit of a loose term that can mean either social housing or part buy part rent? I assume the properties here would be a mixture of both?

Thoughts?

We're going to have around 300k to put down as a deposit on a new home and are looking at getting a new house in the range of 500-600k. We have around 30k between us in credit card and loan debt, no missed payments or anything but will that work against us in getting a mortgage even considering the loan to value? We've never missed a mortgage payment or anything like that.

Also, when moving home is it a done thing to borrow a little extra on the mortgage to pay off existing debts?

Thanks
