Glasgows Iconic Kelvin Hall. The grand, Baroque-style front entrance facade on Argyle Street was constructed using red ashlar sandstone. This was specifically chosen to match the civic architecture of the nearby Kelvingrove Art Gallery

The iconic 1927 Kelvin Hall building was designed by Thomas Gilchrist Gilmour and Thomas P. M. Somers. Gilmour was a prominent architect with the Glasgow Office of Public Works, while Somers served as Glasgow’s Master of Works and City Engineer
