A "Human Centipede" of architecture: a former Taco Bell was given a new face after being taken over by a local Mexican restaurant. Parkersburg, West Virginia

Street View

This one truly baffles me. I'm so curious what the inside looks like.

A former Hardee's that was converted first to Popeyes, then to JJ Fish & Chicken. Albany, Georgia

Street View

As an aside, I like how the JJ Fish and Chicken sign says "Originally From Chicago". It's such a clumsy turn of phrase, like you moved to a new town and are being introduced to your new class. They could have said "Chicago Style" or something instead and it would have sounded much better.

An old Franksville Hot Dogs repurposed as Aurelio's Pizza in Chicago Heights, Illinois

Street View

Franksville was a small hot dog chain primarily in the Chicago area, but with locations reported in other locations such as Georgia and New York City as well. Reaching more than 20 locations at its peak in 1964, today there is only a single Franksville location left, in the Dunning neighborhood of Chicago.

The old photo is not necessarily the same building, but is being used as an example of what a Franksville location would have looked like during its operation.
