Margaret deserved to get cheated on

Unpopular opinion here, but I don’t feel one bit sorry about Donald cheating on her. Did she care about Louise Burns’ feelings when she was sleeping with Frank and encouraging him to leave her? Or the wives of the generals she was spreading them for? Or Trapper’s wife when she was drunk and tried to seduce him?

If we are (rightfully) going to attack Henry and Trapper for being adulterers, she deserves equal scorn for being a party to adultery. Karma’s a bitch, isn’t it Hot Lips?

She did dial back her sluttiness in the back nine of the show’s run, but that doesn’t change who she was before she met Donald.

Not returning all the keys

I was once checking out of a hotel around 3:00 AM. I gave the guy my key (in the envelope) and the desk clerk asked where the other key was. I don’t remember now exactly what happened to it but I just said it was in the room. He gave me a dirty look like I had told him I pooped all over the floor.

The keys were the standard cheap plastic ones every hotel uses. Anyone else ever have a desk clerk get mad if you don’t return both keys? He acted like if all the keys weren’t there it came out of his own pocket.

Frank not paying for Rob/Amy’s wedding

Robert said something to Frank about him not helping to pay for the wedding. He said he helped with his first wedding and chipped in for Ray and Debra.

I think it was supposed to make Frank look cheap but I agree with him. He contributed to both his kids’ weddings and that was all I think he was obligated to do. Not Frank’s fault the marriage didn’t work out.

Do you think he should have helped out or was he right in refusing to do so?

Vince Lombardi…what might have been

Lombardi is regarded as one of the greatest coaches in NFL history. Took a 1-10-1 Packers team and was in the championship two years later. Won five NFL titles and the first two Super Bowls. Went 89-29-4 in nine seasons.

But he could have done more. He quit an aging Packers team after SBII (not sure why) and took over a bad Redskins team in 1969 and went 7-5-2. Then he died before the next season began. He was only 57.

What if he had lived? How does that change NFL history? Do the Cowboys dominate the NFC in the 1970s like they did? They won the NFC five times in the 1970s and won the division seven times in that decade. I doubt they do that playing Lombardi twice a year plus the playoffs.

Do the Steelers still win four Super Bowls if they are facing Lombardi?

Are there any other examples of someone on the GOAT list who is also a case of “What might have been”? Either through injury (I count cancer as an injury) or simply walking away at a young age even though they already had a HOF career.

Do any of them believe their bullshit?

Do you think any of the frauditors actually believe they are furthering the cause of the first amendment and the FOIA process? If they stand outside a store and nobody says anything do they rejoice that everyone respects the free press or do they go home disappointed because they don’t have any videos to post that day and can’t get their lens licked?

I think 99.999% of them know they are intentionally being assholes and get off on being rude to people and trying to get someone arrested for assault for brushing against their camera.

I do think Sean Reyes does believe in what he’s doing but even then he seems to have a vendetta against the police. Maybe it’s because he was once imprisoned for theft but that’s just my opinion.

But the green mask guys at the post office, Gutterman, safari hat pepper spray man, Gay Area Transparency, the guy who screams, the guy with the fake overly polite act, the guy who wants to see the procedure manual that nobody has because nobody has ever asked to see it, and everyone else know exactly what they’re doing.

Credit card with monthly charges expires soon

I have a credit card where I have several regular monthly charges. This includes HULU, gym, insurance, etc. The card expires at the end of September. They sent me an email the other day saying to be on the lookout for a new card.

I assume the card will have the same number (will it?) with a new expiration date. Do I need to go into all these places and change the information or will it automatically update when the company runs the charge for October.

Ever meet a flat earther?

Have you ever known or at least talked to someone who seriously believed the earth is flat?

Someone mentioned in Sunday School today that at one time people did believe it was flat but was finally proven round by Magellan’s voyage, although it was long known before then.

So I got to wondering if anyone actually believed it is flat. Never met a flat earther myself, either in real life or online. There seems to be an internet community that does but I don’t know if they are being serious. It wasn’t that long ago I learned the Flat Earth Society is a real group. Always thought it was a joke for people who had wacky outdated beliefs.

Will frauditors hurt public access?

Do you think as the frauditors become more bold you’ll see more pushback from the government making public filming laws more restrictive?

Maybe not in public parks and stuff like that, but I could see them banned from filming in government buildings and storefronts. Would be hilarious if the freedoms they claim to fight for became limited because of them.

Which guest would you kill?

If you were one of the castaways and after your rescue the Karma Fairy appears and says in return for your years of suffering you can have one person who came to your island and left you die a painful death, who would you pick? You would be allowed to have it be more than one if they were there together so you can pick all four Mosquitoes or the hunter and his sidekick.

Hard to narrow it down to just one. But here would be the top of my list.

Harold Hecuba-He was obnoxious and then stole our idea. Let the world know who really wrote Hamlet: The Musical

The hunter-Literally tried to murder us

The painter-He was just rude.

I promise this is my last stupid question for a while.

Why did nobody know them?

A super rich guy and a movie star are lost at sea. Seems like a story that would be national news. Yet whenever someone landed on the island, they don’t seem to have any idea who Ginger or Howell are.

Seems like someone would say “Hey, I remember reading about y’all. Can’t believe I landed here”.

Even a Broadway producer didn’t know who she was.

Visiting Ft Sumter

I am going to be in Charleston for a couple days next month and would like to visit the fort. From a minimal search it seems the only way to do it is to pay for a ferry boat to get there. Is that true? I’m not trying to be cheap but don’t want to spend money I don’t have to.

Is visiting worth the trouble? Would there likely be a huge crowd? I will be there on a Monday and Tuesday in late August. I’m a history buff but it wouldn’t be the first time I went somewhere and regretted it. (Alamo).

What else in Charleston should be on my must see list?

Was Tommy doomed no matter what?

Suppose when the warden asked him if his story was true he had said the following:

“No, it’s not. I just said it to mess with Andy. I know it was wrong because he has been so kind to me and I shouldn’t have done it. I didn’t know it was going to get so out of hand and get him upset that you had to put him in the hole. I’m sorry and please let him out because this was all my fault and I hope he forgives me”.

Does the warden tell him to be more careful in the future and to go back to his mop or does he still look up and nod at Hadley?

Deleting and reposting a grave

My wife died in 2024. I was looking forward to creating her page because I thought it would be therapeutic for me.

Before I could some guy grabbed her information off her online obituary and created her page. This was very soon after she died because I was waiting because I saw a rule said a person had to be dead a certain amount of time before you could make a page.

He even left virtual flowers even though I don’t know this person. He seems to have created a bunch of pages. Fuck him.

I was able to get myself named page manager and he is gone. But it pisses me off seeing his name as creator and the flowers he left. There doesn’t seem to be a way to remove the flowers unless it’s abusive.

I want to delete the entire page and create a new one myself. Can I do that?

tl/dr: I want to delete my wife’s page some vulture created and make a new one with just me on it.

Frauditors on Facebook

I don’t go to their YouTube or TikTok but I see a lot of them on Facebook reels. There is usually a comment from someone saying it is stolen content. I once saw Guttertrash say to someone he’s not on Facebook after they said they saw him there.

So do people who take the videos and post them on Reels make money off of clicks and comments? Think any of those posting are anti-Frauditors making money off of their “work”?

Why kill Sollozo first?

Why did Mike kill him first and not McClusky? Consider this.

McClusky was a cop and professionally trained with a gun and definitely would have a gun on his person. Yes, Sollozo was likely carrying as well but it’s possible he might not be and even if he was he’s likely not going to be adept at pulling it out and engaging in gunfire as McCluskey.

McCluskey was sitting off to the side and could have had a split second to react and return fire if he hadn’t been feeding his face.

On a side note, I wonder how McCluskey explains the situation if he did manage to kill Mike. He’s at dinner with a drug dealer and a mob boss’ son. He would clearly have been acting in self defense but people might have wanted to know why he was there in the first place.

What is they fired Frawley?

The story goes Desi Arnaz told William Frawley that if alcohol ever caused a problem more than once or twice he was gone. Does anyone know if he ever used one of his strikes?

And what if they did have to fire him? Would they recast the part? Say that he left and it’s just the three of them? Can’t picture them killing a character in the 1950s.

I don’t see any of the options going well. If someone else had played Fred from the beginning we wouldn’t know any better and think he was fine. But sticking someone else in after a couple of seasons wouldn’t have worked. And just writing him out completely wouldn’t work because that makes Ethel a third wheel and part of the show’s charm was watching them play off each other.

Tipping the filmmaker?

I don’t know if it belongs here but here goes.

I went to go see Young Washington yesterday. I enjoyed the movie and thought it was well done.

Then at the end when the credits started a message popped up on the screen that said “Stay tuned for a special message” with a countdown clock.

When the clock got to zero, Kelsey Grammer (who was in the movie) appeared on screen. There was also a big QR code. He gave a message about American values and freedom and also asked for donations to support the project.

I paid to see the movie. I’m not giving you more money. Has anyone else seen something like this in a movie? I get it was an independent filmmaker and a lot of those are crowdfunded. I just didn’t like being tricked into staying just to see Frasier with his hand out.

William Frawley WWII video

This is hilarious. If you’ve never seen it, give it a look. A little non-PC but it’s probably tame compared to other stuff that was out.
