Deadline to declare a champion?

Does a conference have to complete the tournament by Sunday for the autobid or could they play on Monday?

Just asking because there is a chance for rain in Hoover for the SEC tournament. They do have the QF spread over two days so I assume they could compress it if they had to but if a conference lost an entire day (especially early if they had four games scheduled) it would be tough to make up. I guess if they couldn’t finish they would just declare the highest remaining seed the champion.

Low opinion of Clemenza

Tom: I thought Clemenza was going to be the traitor

Mike: It was the smart move. Tessio was always the smart one.

Tom thinks he’s a turncoat and Mike thinks he’s stupid.

Andy’s first meeting with Red

He tells Red he wants a rock hammer and Red says “What is it and why?”. Andy says “Why do you care?”.

Anyone think that was a rather bold, not to mention rude, thing to say to someone he just met? If I had been Red I would’ve been tempted to say “How am I supposed to get it if I don’t know what it is. Look, I’ve been here 20 years and I’ve worked my butt off to get where I am. I don’t need some smart ass fish giving me any lip. You already cost me a pack of smokes. And don’t give me that crap about being innocent. I read about you in the paper. They had you dead to rights. Go ask that guy over there for your rock hammer. I hear he has a good source for harmonicas if you ever need one”.

Then I go to the Sisters and offer them a store credit if they pay Andy a visit.

I wonder why they didn’t have an episode on the European tour where they visited Spain. Lucy mentioned it briefly when she was talking to someone about the languages they were trying to learn.

I think it would have been funny if Ricky said something in Spanish that got them in trouble because a phrase meant one thing in Cuba but something else in Spain. I have no idea if such a thing is real but I think it’s plausible there might be some differences here and there that could be used for comedic effect. It would be funny if it was his Spanish that got them in trouble for a change.

Mike decided to install the pay phone because the bill was getting so high.

I don’t know how phone bills worked then. Were people charged by the call, even if they were local? Everyone they called would have been a friend from school so none would have been long distance.

The better solution would have been for Mike to get a second line for his den for business use. He did a lot of work from home so he likely needed to call clients from home. Might have even gotten his company to pay for it or it at least could have been a tax deduction.

Let’s say that after RFK is killed that LBJ decides to accept the nomination by saying he feels he has no choice but to do it.

What would his chances have been against Nixon? Imagine any possible variables you want in regards to his running mate or Wallace running or not?
