Pauldron Swap: Saturnine to Centurion

I've seen a few kitbashes that put Centurion Pauldrons on a Saturnine body, but how does the reverse work? Good? Meh? Not at all?

Beastman Bullgryn

I have converted a few Blood Bowl Ogres into a small squad of Bullgryn, with various horns added on to make them into a sort of Beastman squad. However, with the reveal of the Minotaur in the Summer Preview, how well do you guys think that model can mesh to become a more bestial Bullgryn?

Basing Question

I'm planning a kitbash project, and I have a question before I start: Can Aggradon Lancers fit on 60 x 35 bases (the same ones used by Raptadons).

Faction Packs

I tried to access a Faction Pack (the Sororitas one, specifically) to see details of how the units changed with the new Edition. However, there were barely any units in the Pack, only the newest ones and the Legends ones. How do I access the full unit list?

Creatures for the Tabletop

I was in a chat with a friend on Discord, and the subject of giant monsters in BattleTech came up. This led me down a rabbit hole. Eventually, I realized a simple conversion system for monsters (though it will take ownership of both A Time of War and its Companion):

Movement: Determine as normal (A Time of War Run speed x 1.5 ÷ 30, round up)

Damage: Determine as normal (BD ÷ 3, round down, Divide result by 3, round up)

Health: Divide BOD score by 3, round down

To give an example of how this works, let's take the Mkuranga Titanodon:

Movement: Run 55 x 1.5 = 82.5 ÷ 30 = 2.75, round up to 3

Damage: BD 70 ÷ 3 = 13 1/3, round down to 13 ÷ 3 = 4 1/3, round up to 5

Health: BOD 189 ÷ 3 = 63

So, it has 3 mp, deals 5 damage in melee, and takes 63 damage to kill.

Beastman Bodyguard

I'm planning to have the Ogryn in my Army (1 Bodyguard and a trio of Bullgryn) actually be Loyalist Beastmen. Here's the Bodyguard.

Main kit: Blood Bowl Ogre Runt Punter

Huge Knife: Blade from a spare Custodes Guardian Spear, handle from a Vanguard Veterans chainsword, and the pommel from a Custodes Sentinel Blade.

The left arm is the preassembled left arm from the Heavy Intercessors kit, with a shoulder blade from the Blood Bowl Doom Lords kit as the "Ripper Gun" bayonet.

I'm probably going to sculpt thicker horns out of green stuff, later, but the spare set of Beastmen horns from the Doom Lords kit are going to suffice for now.

Dinosaur Cavalry?

I'm wanting to make a quintet of cavalry miniatures, but as knights riding dinosaurs, giant lizards, or similar. What kits would you guys suggest for the best results?

Quick and Dirty Combi-Lieutenant

My local Target is selling a new batch of the most recent Warhammer Heroes, so I decided to pick up two boxes. One of them was the Infiltrator (IIRC; the Phobos guy with carbine), and the other was the Veteran Sergeant, who has a Combi-Melta. A bit of clipping and gluing (and installing one of the spare one-handed swords from a Custodes Blade Champion), and I have a passable Combi-Lieutenant.

Loyalist Beastman

I'm kitbashing a "Catachan" command squad for my Guard army, and this is the first member, the Commander. The main body is Lineman 1 from the Doom Lords Blood Bowl kit. Had a spare arm from my Terminator Squad kit, so that became a prosthetic with a Power Fist. The sheathed knife, pouches, and purity seal came from the Intercessors kit (great source for various bits). The rest of him is Wargames Atlantic products: the pistol from the Cannon Fodder kit, the torch from the Fantasy Guards kit, and the base from their 60-pack.

EDIT: Finished the rest of the squad, and I'll be making a post of them.

Kitbashing Questions

I'm planning to start a Necron army relatively soon, and I have a couple of questions:

  1. I like the Tachyon Arrow Overlord, but I want to change the spear(?) into a sword and have it held low at their side. Any advice?

  2. I want to run a Plasmancer in the list, but I don't want to buy the Royal Court for one model. What should I use in its place?

Inquisitor Seraphina de Lyle

I'm currently building a Sororitas army, and I plan to include an Inquisitor in said army, mainly for fluff reasons. So, I created her today. The main body is a spare Sister of Silence I had, with the arms and mace coming from the Novitiates kit and the Combi-Plasma being from the Retributor Squad kit.

Updated Vanguard Veterans

As I was buying kits for my army, my LGS happened to have a box of Vanguard Veterans. I thought they looked cool, so I picked them up. I knew they would be on borrowed time, being a Firstborn unit, but I figured that I'd replace them with JPIs when they were retired. Then the Armageddon box was revealed, and the Van Vets were revealed to be refreshed instead of discarded. However, I wasn't entirely happy with the appearance of the refresh, so I decided to do it, myself.

Merging together a box each of JPIs and Van Vets (plus a few bits from other sources) produced the above. What do you think?

Do the Sisters have something of equal status to the Dreadnought? I.e. a Sister is mortally wounded to the point that she can't return to duty, so she is given a device that compensates so she can get back to fighting while also preserving her for the honor she has brought to the Order?
