A question about optimal setups
Just started playing this game, and I'm wondering, is the optimal setup for a single tire compound, on a single track, the same for both drivers? For example, We're at Japan right now, and one of my drivers was able to pinpoint her setup to 99% on softs and qualy runs. If I apply the exact same setup to my other driver for qualifying, will he also be at 99%? How do You go about finding the best setup?
Mike really should've challenged sam more
Just watched the finally, holy hell that was madness. Sam's strategy there at the end was appalling, but I almost can't place all the blame on him
While Mike has been one of the best guests on this show so far, I have to say, he really needed to say no to Sam. I understand that he probably thought Sam knew better because he's been in all 16 prior seasons, but surely he would've had doubts about putting 5 chips per station on 2 inconsequential and easily bypassed lines, but he just goes along with it. Surely he would've recognised that they were better off taking the 2 challenges in the North where they atleast have a fallback if they fail one of those challenges, compared to going all the way down south, and going into debt just to put their ENTIRE GAME on a single, all-or-nothing variable challenge, with no fallback.
In the end, the blame should be put on Sam, he's the one with the more experience after all, but it must be said that they would've been better off if Mike called out how Sam's plans could go wrong. If he pointed out the flaws in Sam's logic. Instead, Mike was a good soldier that followed orders (and genuinely excelled at them. That final challenge I feel being the best example, he couldn't have done that challenge any better. Just a shame that apparently Sam sees alot of orange pigs)
