Best rpg for a titanicus/knights campaign?

So, I was considering the idea of mastering a 40k campaign based on knights or titans in general.

What roleplay game would you suggest me to use?

I heard lancer is a bit too anime-y for the kind of mechs we have in the imperium. Do you confirm?

Since we don't have many of them, 3 ideas for new red stratagems (and 2 more that could kinda be considered red)

  • Orbital Telluric Warhead: a bunker buster missile that explodes deep underground to unleash a localized earthquake. The impact itself is something like a precision strike, but after one second it generates a tremor (like the the planet modifier) and destroys spawners, prefabs, houses, containers and so on in a large radius. Long cooldown.
  • Orbital Railcannon Killzone: the beacon remains in place for 30 seconds: during that period of time, every six seconds the super destroyer will fire the railcannon to a random large target in the area around it. Large targets include the usual enemies, but also mechs, bastion tanks, mechs, FRVs. Long cooldown
  • Eagle Dark Fluid Bomb: the eagle drops a large canister of dark fluid, that generates a singularity in the area. A small black hole spawns, and casually roams around for a while like a fire tornado, inflicting massive damage to whatever it touches. Nearby helldivers are sucked inside (remember when the eruptor's explosion pulled you towards it instead than blowing you away?). 1 bomb per eagle resupply, doesn't benefit from the super destroyer improvement.
  • Orbital laser entrenchment swipe: simply, call the orbital laser to quickly draw a straight line, and it leaves behind a trench deep enough for helldivers to use as cover.
  • Remote Controlled Orbital Laser (a.k.a. Hammer of Dawn): simply, a version of the orbital laser that you can guide around with a targeter like the one of the solo silo. Perfect for a Gears of War collaboration.

A few new backpacks ideas

  • P/ARC 1.5 Tesla Backpack: basically a portable tesla tower. Once every X seconds, the player can activate it with the press of a button to unleash a tesla pulse identical to the one of a tesla turret.
  • AX/PD 6 Trophy Drone: an old idea of mine, from the times rocket devastators were... well, devastating. This drone intercepts missiles midair, neutralizing them before they can detonate. It can neutralize a rocket salvo before it needs to cooldown for X seconds. It also works on grenades (looking at you, warstrider), barrager/vox/strider rockets, and even barrage shells.
  • B-G55 Beehive: with the press of a button, it releases five seeker grenades. It has four charges that can be replenished with grenades or supply pickups. As long as the backpack is equipped, a maximum of 5 seeker grenades can hover around the helldiver indefinitely.

Update sul compro oro: io mi diseredo

Originale:

https://www.reddit.com/r/milano/s/VIVWWYCjlR

Niente ragazzi, mia madre é andata in palla e si era convinta che il negozio fosse in via Gardone.

Prima cosa che le ho chiesto stamattina: "Mamma, domanda stupida, ma tu sei sicura sicura che fosse quella la via, sì?"

"Sisì, era in via Gardone!"

Sei ore dopo: "Aspetta, forse era in via Vallarsa? Oddio sì, era in via Vallarsa! Scusatemi tanto!"

Guys, I found it! (Follow up to the Lost in Koln post)

Original post

It was #Vischeringstraße!

https://maps.app.goo.gl/eqi7ze9YWQdEXRiC8?g\_st=ac

Found it, at 3 AM.

I followed the rails on Google maps to see where did the line 18 go after Boltesternstrasse, and even past the end of the line. I narrowed it down to places near the Autobahn, where the road went over it with an overpass... And here it is!

Basically I was woke up at the station and I walked down Chemnitzerstraße trying to follow the tracks and failing miserably when they crossed the Autobahn.

I kept going through the park/forest Strunde Bach until I emerged in schlagbaumsweg.

There I was mind fucked when I turned right expecting to see the tracks and instead I found 10 lanes of high speed highway.

After dying inside I decided to keep walking down that path until I arrived to the gate of what looked like an abandoned mansion in the woods (Gut Schlagbaum): having seen enough horror movies in my life to know better than getting in there, I walked back to the schlagroad and turned right, hoping against all hopes to find the tracks again.

I ended up in Lacher Broch, where I found an old couple that was either leaving for vacation at 2 AM or was burglarizing a home. When I asked them what direction was Boltesternstrasse (*"Ich shlafen s banh. Ich ghe Boltesternstrasse?"*) I received the customary "Nein, Nein! Far! Far!".

After they left I went back to Schlagbaumsweg and went north without a real destination, guided by a misplaced sense of hope, turning right to Ostmerheimer Str.

I think I had almost reached the Autobahn bridge when I saw a car and I stopped it. On the passenger seat there was a huge drunk Turkish guy holding an happy meal; at the driver seat a marginally less drunk German guy.

I explained my situation, and the driver told me to get in the car.

After going through a Telltale-game life-altering multiple-choice experience, I decided that the night couldn't get *so much* worse, and I agreed to get in the car with two drunken strangers... Not an easy task since the car had 2 doors, so we had to somehow extricate the Turkish guy. Several minutes later, I found myself on the backseat with the aforementioned happy meal in my hands, and the driver explaining me that I was completely off route. He told me that he would have gladly took me to Boltesternstrasse if he was sober, but he couldn't risk meeting the police... So he drove me back to the Vischeringstraße station.

Completely defeated by life, I thanked him, crouched down on a bench made of the hardest German steel, and slept there until the first tram took me back to the hotel.

My friends hadn't noticed I was disappeared... And we shared the same room. When one of them asked if I went to prostitutes, I replied that I did, and his mother said hello.

**Thanks everyone for trying to help me solve this mystery!** Brainstorming with you greatly helped me to put my memories together and find the place.

A part of me is kinda sad that with modern technologies misadventures like this one are harder to come by... But I'm sure that with the power of alcohol and terrible decision making I'll find myself in a similar situation sooner than later.

Please help me find the place I got lost many years ago.

UPDATE: found it! https://www.reddit.com/r/cologne/s/1S110lFD3y

Ok, story time.

Many moons ago I was visiting Cologne for the Gamescom. After an event on a barge, I disembarked pretty drunk.

While my friends decide to walk to the hotel, I have none of it: I paid for the weekly ticket, and by God I will use it.

So I hurry to the tram station, I see the doors closing and I Indiana Jones my way inside. Proud of my prowess I sit down- and immediately fall asleep.

I wake up with a German guy shaking my shoulder and pointing at the door. When I get out, I find myself in the middle of nowhere: basically countryside, the only living being a group of punks doing wheelies on their bikes.

Long story short, that was the last run of the tram. I walked most of the night, got lost more and more, met interesting people and made friends along the way who gave me a lift... Back to the station where I arrived.

Many years later, I never found out exactly where I ended up. Did I wander into a fairy circle and ended up in the feywild?

Could you guys help me figure out where I was?

The details I remember:

- the station I was supposed to disembark at was Boltesternstrasse

- Instead I ended up getting down at the very end of the line

- the area (something like 15 years ago) was residential, with small houses, possibly some countryside.

- when I was picked up by a merciful drunk driver he told me I was walking towards Bonn

- my plan of just following a path parallel to the tram tracks was foiled by the fact that it turns out that the tracks and the path were not all that parallel. I lost sight of them and never found them again. Much later I realized that they probably went underground, but I'm not 100% sure.

Edit: another detail

  • I remember that I was walking on that street parallel to the rails. That street entered a park. That park became a small wood. The street became a path. Maybe I really was in the fey wild, but the station was quite close to a park.

  • there wasn't much of a station. It was just a bench under a bus station cover. There was no concrete roof.

Second edit:

  • it was within walking distance to an Autobahn; while I was looking for the tracks I ended up on a bridge over the highway.

So, my mitteleuropean friends, think you'll be able to put your geogueassing skills to use and help me find that magic place?

EDIT: For a moment I thought I might have found it in wichheimer str. The mood of the place is the same, it's near a park and an highway overpass, but unless they razed a neighborhood of single houses to build condos I don't think it's the right one. The station and what's around it is very similar though, so I really don't know."

I'll start by saying that I wouldn't want it behind a warbond (let alone a premium one), but this would fit perfectly in helldivers.

Give us a light walker. Much faster and maneuverable, but equipped with a single weapon (like an autocannon, a flamethrower or maybe a missile launcher for a tank hunter) and with lighter armor, if not with the pilot exposed.

[5E][GMT+1] Forever GM looking for a group to play in.

Hey everyone!

I'm a 37yo forever GM that for a change would love to play as a character in a DND campaign.

Alternatively, I'd be open to play Dark Heresy or similar, though I'd prefer DND.

I'm looking for either a play by post (I can reply almost always during the day, I have a pretty chill job) or a classical game night on roll20, foundry or wherever you like to play.

I'm fluent in English and literate (if we are talking about play by post). If you have questions or doubts feel free to send me a message or write below.

Hoping to hear from you!
