If you ever thought of another Latin American nation as a sibling Nation, which is it?

For me they are Argentina, Brazil and Colombia. I was raised by Argentinian woman as teachers and a beloved Auntie who lives in Brazil. And Colombia did something marvelous for Paraguay, when it seemed like we would lose our entire land in the War of The Triple Alliance they declared Paraguayans could live there. I teared up when I learned that. And my best friend lives there too. Class Act in a very dark, grim era.

Who here grew up with the CGI Barbie movies from the 00's?

It had some of the best dubbing ever done, it was really good and I watched them a lot thanks to CN airing them on Weekends. The Princess And The Pauper is best of these with the 12 Dancing Princesses and Rapunzel which to this day I think is better written than the Disney one.

I heard in this manga, the Rock Lee/Yamcha esque underdog character GETS HIS WIN and doesnt get it undone.

And a Kenpachi esque guy prevents the bad guy from reviving to ensure it. I really wanna know if this is true and who are the characters.

Your Favorite Civilian Setting Cast

The biggest have to be Max Heart, Splash Star, Yes, Fresh, Heartcatch. Those are top 5. I know its unnoriginal to simply have those as top 5 (chronological and earliest) but those seasons made sure to really use their civilian casts. From Suite and onwards, civilian casts became less used and more divisive. In Smile the entire cast was just the girls and the villains. (Except the third best grandma in Precure ever.)

Okay, after Heartcatch, another season with a great civilian cast was Go Princess. That season had everything and the civilian cast was great. I didnt watch Maho Girls but the cast in Mirai Days was really good and I could see myself enjoying them. Kira Kira... Ehhhh... HUGTTO? Great again, really well written.

I wanted to actually gush about each season but I decided I will leave that for the discussion.

I realized the only real edits in the English dub are the Next Episode previews.

The epísode previews have completely different footage to remove the onscreen "Package" Japanese (Any sort of Japanese that comes with the packaging of the show, as in any credits, titles and so on. Not In-Universe Japaense text) and to make the jokes they add to the previews fit. Wow that's awesome.

You and Idol has a lot going for it. I think it will be better seen a few years down the line.

I think it will be seen a lot better because it can be easily binged. I think Idol has a lot going for it. Nana is great. Kokoro was very good in the first half. Every girl got to have badass solo fights, and even finish upgraded monsters. The sakuga for the final battle was great and so was the writing and pacing of the battle, when the girls each had a badass last stand, and their finishers are badass huge pillars of light. And not only that the final battle was a massive 5 vs 1 big deal. I think the key to enjoying You and Idol is to know what it is and what it intends to be. If you keep that in mind You and Idol is super fun.

I have to Defend You and Idol. As much as I complained about it, it is not a horrible show

I liked it. I did hate it somewhere in the middle but I feel other than its EXTREMELY time crunched finale, it stuck the landing. Even if it is not as strong as Hirogaru I had a lot of fun with it and it wasnt a terrible final battle. Every girl got to be an absolute badass especially Wink and they all got to contribute to the final battle. It was not like Doki Doki where the team was meaningless. Other than the extremely dire second half. I think it is a good show even if one that should be warned about its shortcomings to fully enjoy.

Pretty Cure is one of the last anime series that can actually surprise its fans.

As most anime is shonen/isekai/light novel adaptations Precure is one of the few that can really do plot twists that can truly surprise viewers. Most already exists and the anime is just waiting for the cool scenes to be adapted.

Why I want a dub of Precure (And why that's important to me)

Because I really want the real demographic, kids, to love Precure and even more for it to be a good and faithful dub that actually gives the a similar experience to Japanese kids watching the Japanese version. Its not just "because I need validation". Precure is such a wonderful series and I love it subbed but dubs would get to the people it was always meant for kids. And it doesnt need to be like Glitter Force to reach kids either.

Normally I am all for dubs and TPATF has an amazing dub but in this scene when the camera cuts away from Ray and his light goes out, the only audible thing is the rain and Anika's crying. Seriously Anika Noni Rose is such a huge legend. Seriously, I think that was the last truly amazing Disney film. I know there have been amazing films before and since but none fired on all cylinders like this one.

People seem to think the modern fandom having adults in it was a new thing but I think adults already watched Precure subbed in the west on 2004. I dont know because I was 14 back then but it was sorta popular subbed and I doubt teens could sub an anime on their own back then. The fandom must also have people in their 40's and 50's.

I have recently started KH1 Final Mix on PS2... sorta. But yeah. I love the game and I am having fun... BUT BOY did the platforming elements not age the best. And with no mini map I often get lost, so progress is slow and a bit frustrating. Grinding, however, is easy and fun once you get the hang of a world. Right now I am doing Monstro because endgame grinding spots are not available yet. It is extremely fun to just do a spell and the enemy dies right there. Only rarely does an enemy require more than one cast. Gaining money is also fun. I guess the series takes after final fantasy in that way. Griding is really fun.

>!In the Japanese version the Rainbow Storm is fueled by the power of the Prism Stones. In the dub this detail is removed and the attack spell instead mentions the will of light. After losing the power Porun should not have been able to power the rainbow bracelets but even the girls dont seem to know this. The only reason the girls couldnt use the Rainbow Storm was because Porun couldnt reach the girls. Once he does the girls get the bracelets... and they dont have enough power to match the Dark King... until Porun randomly shows up with a second (third?) power source and that's enough to defeat the King. I liked the tv tropes mistranslation that Mepple, Mipple and Porun gave their power so the girls could win but in the actual anime there's no explanation. Just a Deus Ex Machina.!<
