What if Sokka were the Dark Avatar?

I was recently looking at some alternate-universe fanfics featuring Zuko. I came across versions where he ends up as Raava’s Avatar, and others where Vaatu somehow becomes the self-proclaimed “Avatar of Chaos.” This got me thinking about a different possibility:

What if Sokka became the Avatar of Darkness?

One thing that caught my attention is that Sokka lives at the South Pole, a region with a strong connection to the Spirit World. So, I wondered if it would be possible to come up with a scenario where—while still a child or teenager—he stumbles upon a gateway to the Spirit World.

Perhaps, during an expedition, a storm, a spiritual aurora, or some supernatural phenomenon, Sokka accidentally crosses over into the Spirit World. There, he might encounter Vaatu or another entity linked to darkness. Instead of simply being possessed by it, something different could happen: Sokka could become the host for a spiritual force equivalent to the Avatar, creating a sort of Avatar of Darkness.

Völundr - Völundarkviða

Hello! I'd like some help understanding the story of Völundr from Völundarkviða. I recently saw a post where, in the Þiðreks saga, he marries Boðvild, and in another, he marries Alvitr. But, getting back to the point, I'd like to know in which texts he appears? Are there other versions of his myth?

Avatar: A Lenda de Shuang

Late last night, in the throes of insomnia, I came up with some ideas for a fanfic about the Dark Avatar! The protagonist is named Shuang—a name chosen as a pun on "Wan" (which means "one"); in Chinese, Shuang can be read as "two" or "second."

Shuang hails from a desert tribe of sandbenders.

- Initial Elements: The first elements he manifests are Earth (via sand) and Air. This stems from his personality: he’s a charismatic, cheerful boy who loves sand-sailing (I can't recall if those sand-boats have a specific name). This familiarity with the wind allows him to wield Air with the same fluidity as Earth.

Since Avatar Korra is alive and well, no one believes Shuang is the Avatar. Most people theorize that he’s simply using Airbending to manipulate sand grains, failing to realize he is actually an Earthbender.

Because the sandbender village is isolated in the middle of nowhere, rumors of a supposed "Airbender" in the desert never reach the Air Nomads; consequently, no one ever comes to take him to the Temples, as happened in Book 3.

In case anyone asks how he manages to bend all four elements...

(Given that Unalaq only possessed Water): Raava’s spirit became trapped inside Vaatu following the destruction of the Avatar cycle. Vaatu absorbed the elements and created a "copy" of the past Avatars' memories. However, Shuang accesses corrupted versions of these Avatars, rendering their visions and advice unreliable. Imagine, for instance, a completely idiotic Aang taking his pacifism to ridiculous, absurd extremes.

Extra details about his childhood. During his childhood, Shuang becomes obsessed with Bolin's movies; he is a die-hard fan who dreams of meeting him in person to get an autograph.

Story Structure (Books)

The story would be divided into three main parts:

- Book 1: Sand (Earth focus) – his childhood as a pickpocket (he would be around 3 or 4 years old when the *Korra* animated series ended).

- Book 2: Cinema (Fire focus) – age 15+; he travels to the Metalbending City to get that long-awaited autograph (and learn bending, of course).

- Book 3: Purification (Air focus) – here, people realize he can airbend, and he ends up at the Air Temples (I have no idea yet if he has been discovered as the "Dark Avatar" by this point).

There will be no Book 4 for the Water element, because I really like the idea of him having extreme difficulty (or almost no affinity) when trying to learn waterbending!

Harry Potter is in a dating sim.

The story begins with him at a bus stop, where he opens the game; a bus then passes by and splashes a torrent of water on him, and when he blinks, he wakes up inside the game talking to Professor Cedrico.

Korra fanfics instead of Aang

I've seen several comments from people saying that if the Avatar teams were reversed, the story would have had a sad ending only for Korra's team, and that made me curious. Does anyone know of any place where Did the groups switch places?

An example of what I mean would be something like Bume and Mako being from the colonies, and Korra possibly being the daughter of the old woman who bends blood (I forgot her name and I'm too lazy to look it up).

I wanted to talk about nostalgia.

Yesterday morning, I found the first fanfic I ever read—it was on this platform. I was about ten years old back then, and today I’m twenty-one and nearly finished with college. It’s strange how everything changes and how these small communities of writers impact so many people's lives.

In case you want to know, this story right here below is the one that came first.:

Vanishing Illusions Chapter 1, a harry potter fanfic | FanFiction

I wasn't even a year old when it was published, yet I feel the urge to write an ending for it.

Percy Jackson being the son of another god.

I just finished reading a story where Hestia is Percy's mother and another where Apollo adopts him after Sally begged me, and I'd like recommendations for those kinds of stories.

Estou procurando uma fanfic de Viktor Krum.

Acabei de ler a história "Quidditch Is Serious Business" e queria ver mais histórias onde Krum é o protagonista — ou pelo menos desempenha um papel importante.
