Dumping whole folder after shoot?

I'm learning how to do shoots with models and noticed a lot of photographers seem to upload their whole folder and ask the models if they'd like any specific photos then edit them later? I always thought it was better to edit a few of the best photos and then send them over to models? Is this common practice when working on photoshoots? I was thinking editing them gave them a specific flair that's personal to the photographer so am wondering what the standard practice actually is. Thanks in advance!

F4F - UK or (anywhere) looking to chat maybe more? :)

I'm feeling kind of bored and a bit down so thought it might be fun to chat and make new friends or see where things go? Not looking for super serious relationship straight away so if your down to casually chat and maybe share some things that'd be fun!

About me: I'm in my 30s, from the UK, really into music and art, photography recently! And collecting vintage items, I'm pretty good at cooking too! And love finding out about new food and new recipes. Guess I'm a femme but I can use power tools and into making things with wood some times, don't really have long nails but I have long hair. I also recently built a guitar and painted it my self and dug a fish pond in my garden! I also used to be quite active and into dance and roller skating but not done much recently. Do like a few nerdy things too but I'm not into talking endlessly about games or collectibles like some people haha.

Just DM me if you fancy chatting :)

Fixing the shutter RZ67?

I thought this might help other people with the same issue but I noticed the little piece of metal that sits on the shutter bar was worn. See one I found online vs mine. The left side should be straight but mine had a small groove. This means the shutter arm won't fully cock.

I'm working on trying to make a new one using a dremel and some metal I found but having trouble with the hole in the middle. Also going to try using two part metal epoxy to see how good it holds. Anyone good with metalwork have an idea how to make this?

Metal part for camera

How would someone go about repairing or reconstructing this worn part? I thought of using metal putty but thought maybe remaking something would enable it to last longer without replacing? Maybe using mild steel sheeting and cutting and working it? I've got experience with wood working so don't think it would be that hard with correct tools. Like dremel and a few rasps? It doesn't include any screw thread but getting it on the shaft might be the hardest part.

MBV early era books/articles?

I just finished Miki Beriyani's book and she mentione's MBV afew times as Emma dated Kevin Shields early on. She talks about him being kind of obsessed with MBV and a bit separated from the scene at the time. Also that Colm lent them his gear afew times. I'm wondering if anyone read anything about the gigs they played in London in the 80s and 90s? Is Turn my head into sound worth reading or any other book? I know the main focus is usually on Loveless but people don't seem to mention the early gigs or what happened before that. I've seem afew old gig photos but not much more.

Who am I supposed to date when over 30??

When I was a teen I pretty much had no idea who I wanted to date but ended up with a slightly older woman for 5+ years. Then after that probably spent another 5 years getting over her 😅. So now I'm much older, everyone my age seems to have be coming to maturity. Enjoying a quiet drink with friends, boardgame nights. Talking about their failing joints and other age related pains. Women I meet have to rush home to deal with the kids. Meanwhile I still have no idea what I'm doing 😆. I'm picking up crazy hobbies, going to gigs and trying to form a band. I find most people my that i meet my age really dull. So I basically think my dating pool went to down to like less than 1% of the population already. Do I have to just enjoy being single for life? Not to say there isn't another 30+ person who's similar but they probably live in some far off country 😄. Don't know where I'm going with this post but maybe other people can relate?

Straight women giving lesbian vibes?

I was just reading this biography recently and Justine Frischmann the lead singer of 90s Britpop band Elastica came up. Was sure she'd be at least bi because she looks so hot, theres even a girl leaning against her giving her a look haha. Apparently she's totally hetro though 😭. Anyone else give similar vibes where your sure they aren't straight but shocked they are married to a guy or something? 😅

Shutter issue rz67 (photo)

I thought I'd update since it might help someone or someone might have solved this.

The cocking mechanism pushes the part in the bottom middle with the large slotted screw but maybe due to wear won't push enough to cock. I've seen people use loctight to fix a the loose part not tried this yet. It's annoying because the focus gear blocks the handle from cocking fully so seems like things need to be super precise to work. Screwing the cocking lever pointing down is enough to cock but inconvenient because of the film back. Could maybe 3d print a new part so the handle.

Anyone solved this thought sending out to a repair person?

Rz67 shutter not working with lens on

I just bought a rz67 which seems to have a shutter issue. First it wouldn't cock but I figured out the coking lever was slightly out of alignment. So I managed to fix or by rotating the lever to the next screw which makes it a bit awkward but managed to get things to fire.

Now if I put on the lens it fires once then just clicks in manual mode. Bit if I take off the lens it fires perfectly. The lens looks in good condition so I'm assuming it's not that. I reset the pins to the red dot then green but cant get it to fire more than once. Maybe the lens is just stiff? Anyone had a similar issue?

Gendered speech when referring musicians

I've noticed recently there's so much gendered speech when guitarists or musicians talk about other musicians. When you talk about a band it's assumed that it's always a bunch of guys doing bro stuff together 😄. Like there wasn't a whole riot grrr movement lead by women in the 90s.

When someone teaches a technique online they usually refer to men. It might have made sense in the 70s but there's so many women learning guitar or bass or drums but so many YouTube creators only seem to imagine guys watching the videos?

I learned a lot of guitar from this really talented female guitarist, but sadly, all her videos were removed from the channel. I have no idea why.

Does anyone else find this mildly annoying?

Mentally of band members holds them back

I'm not saying this applies to everyone but I've spoken to so many potential band mates who just seem to have a bad mentally. It's like people join expecting the band to be exactly as they want from day one. Fitting exactly around a very tight schedule, zero upfront costs, maybe a nice payment for each gig. I've been reading Miki Beriyani's book and even successful bands are full of issues I don't think people would even entertain now. Dictatorial song writers and low pay etc, very hard recording sessions that take days to finish. Imagine if everyone left Smashing pumpkins because they hated Billy Corgan before they even finished any albums.

I kind of see a band as a project where everyone is working to create something awesome but I've met people who just split the moment they don't get their way 100%. Or people who expect to pay nothing towards the band.

And it's sad because I think if people stuck with a band and put in more effort together there might be way more amazing bands playing that there is. I've seen people locally who constantly seem to be searching for a new band even while being in a really good giging band. Maybe the Internet gives people too many options to just join a new band the moment they get bored? I wasn't really around in the 90s or 80s, maybe things were a lot different?

No one dancing at your gig?

What would you do if no one was dancing or just stood back doing nothing at a gig? I know the audience get nervous in the first few songs but I feel so bad for bands putting huge energy into a set and the audience is just watching with arms folded checking their phones? Do people just ignore it and think we'll put the video on ig or something? Or do people just feel disheartened, is it down to promoters to book the right bands for the vibe? Or the band to get people excited?

Tired of false assumptions about being trans

Anyone else get kind of tired of people assuming they know everything about what trans is just by the label. I've been transitioning over 10 years am also a lesbian. I'm in a few lesbian groups on Whatsapp been friends with a few lesbians for many years. I've read books about lesbian experiences and politics, then for example on dating apps someone can just turn around after a few min and say they aren't interested cause I happen to be trans. Probably based on their idea of what trans people are like in the media. Some random guy in the street can label every trans person as a danger to society based on some twisted ideas spread online. MPs can read this nonsense and label trans people too and bring in harmful damaging policies. I think estrogen genuinely changes the brain over the years so its just so frustrating when certain people act this way. And like knowing if I was born female I'd probably be living my life a lot easier :(

Best tutorial sites for vocaliod

Are there any tutorial sites or communities for vocaloid artists? Especially Japanese one's? I've been trying to learn to use it to write shoegaze but mostly see it used for dance. I know there's loads of shoegaze artists in Japan but just wondered how they learned or shared ideas? Anyone know?

Mosh pit experiences?

I find it kind of sad that there either has to be a special girls mosh pit or like women join the pit then a bunch of guys basically push people out. Also casual groping that seems to go on? Or other touchy guys.

One experience I had was:

I was at a small club and me my friend and this girl and another guy were moshing; like just having fun doing 2 step. The guy seemed to be slightly on the spectrum but then grabbed us all and basically swung me and this girl around and totally killed the vibe. When I told my friend who's much taller and nb they basically said oh well he's like that! But I felt bad for the other girl who looked like she came solo and how this guy basically manhandled everyone.

I've also seen pits where a few girls will jump in then guys basically take over the floor even when its a girl band playing! Also a gig where they said for all the girls to come to the front and mosh but it felt a bit performative? Like women need special permission to just have fun?

I wonder how to encourage more women to mosh and guys to actually respect the people around them instead of just banning guys from the pit and making a safe space because I'm sure there's better ways? What do people think?

Women too pretty must be fake?

Why do you think guys assume if someone looks really pretty they must be just faking being good at something? Or just a woman in general. I've seen this with djs, racing drivers etc ete

High E too loose? Diy Jazzmaster build

Hi i built a parts jazzmaster recently with strat neck but every time I try tune the high E one octave up it snaps! I've been just playing it one octave lower so its loose but when playing chords doesn't affect it much. I've tried raising the bridge or slowly tuning but still scared it will break. I think its broken about 3 times now so its really annoying. But if i try to solo it just sounds kind of like an old banjo haha

Any idea what to do? I don't have issues with the other strings
