Refused - New Noise 🗣️📢 (1998)

In 1998 a friend and I were watching the music TV channel "The Box", when this randomly came on. We didn't understand the visuals or what the hell he was saying. We just knew it was awesome. After that, we called the station request line over and over asking for this video. We just called it, "The one with the scary masks" until we learned who they were. Good times.

The strange case of “Sydney Barringer” in the opening prologue of Magnolia (1999) hooks you in immediately. Still one of the greatest movie openings I've ever seen.

Magnolia 🌸 (1999) Donnie gets fired | William H. Macy • Alfred Molina | Dir. Paul Thomas Anderson

One of Magnolia's biggest themes is about kids who are valued only for what they can provide, grow up not knowing how to love themselves.

Donnie was beloved world wide when he was "The Quiz Kid", but once he aged out, the world moved on. Nobody taught him how to be a happy, healthy, functioning adult. He spent his childhood being treated like a commodity, instead of a son.

Now grown up, his life has became a series of gaffes as he's left chasing that childhood validation.

Positivity

I can't wait til the album comes out and this sub goes back to the positive place it used to be. Posting screenshots of our new favorite songs, disecting the lyrics, sharing the album art & photos, checking out the new merch, watching the music videos, talking about our favorite collabs on the record, defending the most underrated songs on the album, etc.

I totally understand the frustration with this album launch and tour. It's been a mess and Posty's team derverves the criticism. No New Music = No Excitement. I get it.

That being said, I just can't wait for the positivity to return to this sub. Soon! ❤️

Post Malone stops by Milwaukee barbershop before his concert (6/27/26)

"Three Suburbans just pulled up out of nowhere," Barber Austen Kallas said. "Out of nowhere, it was just Post Malone."

"He's like, 'You know a place I can get a beer?' and I am just like, 'No, I don't think we have that over here.' I mean, I was telling him how I just opened Top-Tier Hair Studio and that he should come in, and he did,".

"It was really quick, and then I got the picture. I blinked, and he was gone".
