Filed an RTI to CBSE asking 15 specific questions about board checking. Waited 46 days, filed a First Appeal for non-response, and the CPIO instantly used it as an excuse to dump a generic PDF link! 😡

I need to vent about how absolutely careless and manipulative the CBSE RTI system is right now.

A while back, I filed an RTI application asking 15 highly specific, questions regarding their digital evaluation system (On-Screen Marking or OSM)🤡. I asked for things like:

  • The exact mathematical formula used for moderation between difficult and easier sets.
  • The digital capping/daily quotas for evaluators checking answer sheets on the portal.
  • Server downtime logs, speed lag complaints, and technical glitch reports during the 2026 Class XII evaluation.
  • Third-party security and quality audit certificates for the OSM portal.

Basically, I wanted real data on how our papers are checked and if the rumors of evaluators speed-running copies on a glitchy portal are true.

  • Date of Receipt: May 16, 2026
  • Date of Action: July 1, 2026

Public authorities are legally mandated to reply within 30 days. They took 46 days. Because they blatantly violated the 30-day limit, I went ahead and filed a First Appeal for "deemed refusal" (non-response).

And this is where the CPIO got incredibly "clever" (and completely careless). Almost as soon as they realized a First Appeal was filed, they used it as a convenient excuse to quickly dispose of my original RTI request. Instead of actually compiling the data they spent 46 days sitting on, they just pasted a link to a generic "Notice_Post_Result_Declaration" PDF and marked the ticket as "REQUEST DISPOSED OF."

That document didn't answer a single one of my 15 questions.

It is incredibly frustrating. They took the ₹10 application fee and made me wait a month and a half, only to use my First Appeal as a shield to hand me a useless public circular and close the ticket. It is obvious that compiling this technical data requires effort, and the CPIO took the easy way out instead of doing their job.

Because I already filed the First Appeal for the delay, I cannot file a new one for this garbage reply. But I am not letting this slide.

I am now emailing the First Appellate Authority (FAA) directly to update my ongoing appeal. I am attaching the CPIO's late, irrelevant reply as proof of their evasion, demanding that the FAA takes this into account and forces them to provide the actual data I asked for. If the FAA ignores this, I am taking it straight to the Central Information Commission for a Second Appeal.

Has anyone else faced this level of dismissiveness with CBSE RTIs? Any tips from people who have successfully navigated the First/Second Appeal process when the CPIO tries to play the system like this?

TL;DR: CBSE violated the RTI 30-day mandate by taking 46 days to respond to my 15 specific questions. When I filed a First Appeal for the delay, the CPIO cleverly used it as an excuse to instantly close my original RTI with a useless generic PDF link. Updating my FAA appeal to call out their evasion.

The first image is what I asked and second one is what they replied.......

I got rusted Nibs from an online seller and this is their reply........

What they are essentially saying is, "We do not know how to properly store uncoated steel in a humid city, our inventory is compromised, and we are passing that risk onto the buyer."

Or maybe i am too sensitive and a nit-pick??

They should have at least used silica gel 😬

They good thing they are willing to refund 100% of the money, Should i accept it or it would be a scam from my side?

Update: The customer service has Ghosted me........😭😭

Its pretty obvious who’s the seller You know

"ART LOUNGE"

Why are we paying more when crude oil costs less? 🤔

Crude oil prices are dropping rapidly, yet our fuel prices at the pump seem completely disconnected from reality.

Let’s do some quick napkin math using actual numbers:

  • Volume: 1 barrel of crude oil = 159 liters.
  • What we pay: At ₹105 per liter (with 1 USD currently at ~₹94.34), we're paying about 1.11 USD per liter. That means a full barrel costs us ~176.50 USD at the pump.
  • The real cost: A barrel of crude is currently around 80 USD. Add roughly 15 USD for the cost of refining it.

176.50 USD (What we pay) - 80 USD (Cost of crude) - 15 USD (Refining) = ~81.50 USD in profit per barrel.

The government and oil companies are making over 80 USD in profit on every single barrel—which is literally more than the cost of the crude oil itself! If fuel is getting so cheap to source right now, why aren't those savings being passed down to us?

Why are Fuel prices Increasing, even after crude oil prices going down rapidly?

Why are fuel prices increasing fuel is already so damn cheap now.....
One barrel of crude oil is equivalent to exactly 159 liters
1 Litre = ₹105 ~ $1.11
Refining one barrel (159 liters) of crude oil costs approximately $10 to $20

$159 dollars(sp) - $80(cp)- $15( refining) = ~$65 dollars in profit

Government is making $55 in profit every barrel which is roughly equivalent to the price of 1 barrel

Paid in full for a Myntra COD order, but 1 item is missing. No unboxing video, but I have audio proof from the delivery guy. Am I screwed?

Hey guys, I'm dealing with a super frustrating situation and hoping someone here has been through this.

I ordered 3 pairs of flip-flops on Myntra via COD. The Ekart guy dropped it off, I handed over the full amount through UPI, and only realized afterward that there were just 2 pairs inside.

Here’s the stressful part: I made the rookie mistake of not taking an unboxing video.

However, I’m not totally empty-handed. I have CCTV footage showing me walking inside with only two small packets right after delivery. More importantly, I actually managed to get a voice recording of the delivery guy explicitly admitting that he only handed me two items.

I’ve already emailed Myntra’s grievance team and asked them to check the package weight logs, but I'm really anxious they’re just going to reject my claim automatically because I don't have that unboxing video.
Has anyone actually won a missing item case like this against Myntra? Will my audio recording and CCTV be enough to get my money back? Also, does filing a complaint with the National Consumer Helpline (NCH) actually work if they refuse to help me?

Any advice or past experiences would be a lifesaver right now. Thanks!
