How important is a the Made in Canada label for you?
Imagine you’re buying a dietary supplement -gym products- and you find four identical products. The only difference is where they’re manufactured & price; everything else is the same: formulation, quality standards, certifications, safety, and insurance.
- Made in France —> $24.99
- Made in Germany —> $21.99
- Made in the USA —> $17.99
- Made in Canada —> $27.99
All of them are produced under the same technical requirements, with the same processes, equipment standards, and regulatory compliance. The only real difference is price & the country where the manufacturing happens, meaning the jobs, industrial know-how, and production infrastructure are tied to that location.
In that situation, which one would you choose, and why?
Please answer honestly & truthfully

Do you think I got good value from my color cartridge? it's been working for about 2.5 years but now it's failing me
I did a full cleaning, I got it new sponges, washed it, dried it, it extended its life by about 150 pages now it doesn't work well anymore
I think he needs money, should we start a gofundme for dutch?
Looking to invest in France but the numbers aren't numbering?
I’m trying to understand the real economics of starting a small company and comparing Marseille, France with Houston, Texas.
One thing I’m also factoring in: in practice, I will likely have to eat part of the VAT impact (and reduce my margin) to keep the final product competitive in pricing. So VAT is technically passed through, but not always fully “felt” by the end customer in pricing power.
Assumptions
- Revenue: 700,000
- COGS: 250,000 (it's a commodity so prices are relatively similar)
- 3 employees paid 2× minimum wage
- Owner takes all remaining profit
- France includes VAT system effects (cash-flow + pricing pressure), US does not
Why is VAT inflating the price, why will I have so many social contributions?
Is it time to let my ink cartridge rest? or can I still get more out of it?
I've had this TS3440 for about 2 years now, and now my color cartridge has started to fail me, lost of lines showing everywhere, I tried cleaning, deep cleaning, toothpicking, printer multiple pages of hard colors...yet...the lines are still here
I've got probably 4 reams out of it over its lifetime.
Should I just let it go? or is it still fixable?
ps: I just drilled a hole inside the cartridge and injected ink in it for 2 years
