Similarfont.io is a very bad website for finding Google font alternatives
In case you're unaware, this is the site.
The entire point is to give similar free fonts to a font. You'd think that would mean a lot of similarities, right? Well nope! This site just throws that idea away. Didact Gothic looks nothing like Futura, next to none of the capital letters are close. Lato and Open Sans are also nothing like Arial.
When you're looking for Google font alternatives, use your eyeballs.
