I’ve always wanted one of the Bandai dolls but they’re always in awful condition and super expensive. Then I stumbled onto this Venus on Vinted for £35 and decided to get myself an early birthday present. She’s from 1995, made for Sailor Moon Super S. I made a sort of rule for myself that I would only collect Usagi dolls because of how many dolls there are out there of all the characters so to sort of “budget” myself I decided to restrict myself. But she was such a good deal I decided screw it, Venus is one of my top Senshi anyway so it’s not like I bought her for the sake of it. She came with everything except her pen, she even had her two little photo cards. I find it so interesting her hair is just a ponytail rather than her normal hairstyle, just seems like they wanted to reduce the production time. I have her displayed next to my Irwin Usagi dolls.

I already have a bootleg DVD set but it doesn’t have the 4 new movies, dubbing for Stars and not every dubbed episode is the ViZ dub. It also sometimes jumps or skips episodes and the subtitles don’t like when there’s dialogue and a song playing in the background at the same time. I just wanted to know if this set is any different. I don’t *need* it because I can watch the show with a VPN but I like physical media and waiting for this UK Crunchyroll release with almost no communication is driving me insane.

I kept seeing her online and was lowkey impressed with her so I told myself when I found where to buy her (AliExpress) I would get her. Well now she’s here and yep I’m impressed lol she comes with almost everything the official doll comes with minus the Mini Me doll and belt. Comparing her to my official doll makes me realise just how good of a fake this is. The pattern on her dress is the EXACT SAME as the official release ✋😭
