Edward scissorhands cosplay by me!
I made the gloves myself and tried to put an outfit on inspired by him!
I hope you like it and I hope it looks somewhat accurate:)

Hi all, looking to have some blanks filled out.
Prime examples:
Set in 1960s: American Graffiti
Set in 1970s: Dazed and Confused
Set in 1980s: Fast Times at Ridgemont High
Set in 1990s: Empire Records
Set in 2000s:?
Set in 2010s:?
Set in 2020s:?
So as you can see from the first 4 examples these are teen hangout movies that largely take place over 1 day/night that really represent there time.
Can anyone suggest any movies for the other 3 decades? Any additional examples for the other decades would be cool too.
I can also think of Superbad, breakfast club,
Let’s see what you guys come up with
Y Tu Mama Tambiem (4k release/bd rerelease so I don’t have to drop more coin on this than the inner Bergman boxes!)
Hudsucker Proxy (it’s just one of me favourite movies and it has never had a good enough release)
The Ballad of Buster Scruggs (definitely needs a release of some sort)
A Simple Plan (gotta have this to have a good double feature with blood simple)
Lost in Translation (not alone in this, it’s just amazing)
Paris J'Etaime (this may as well have been made a a criterion convention)
Streaming only that deserve a bd release:
I'm thinking of Ending Things
The Tragedy of Macbeth
Mank
The Killer
On the Roads
Da 5 Bloods
Wes Anderson not yet released, so c’mon already
The Phoenician Scheme
The Wonderful Story of Henry Sugar and Three More
Asteroid Coty
Hi all, quick query about the July sale, is the sale just at B&N or is it on the official Criterion website also?
For those that are wondering where killers kiss is, it’s for some reason an extra on The Killing
I put this together virtually as my area is a mess.
Thinking of switching the looper, any suggestions?
Edit: apologies all, I seem to have misjudged this sub as another on Reddit, but everyone is very supportive!
Obviously following the news a lot of people have expressed a lot of thoughts concentrating on the current instability of Doctor Who, and that is valid.
I’m wondering though if we should potentially be looking at this as a good thing.
The instability of the show has been increasing if, we are honest, since Moffat left. The fan community has been more disparate I. Their opinions, the viewing figures have been reportedly less and there has generally been less cultural impact. In addition to that it would seem the people behind the scenes and even the actors playing the doctor haven’t wanted wanted to stick around for as long.
Then again maybe that’s a biased perception filter in my case.
But if the above is read as roughly accurate maybe a step back, review and reset would be a good thing? I don’t think they ever really did that after Chibnall. We all thought we would be getting essentially 2006 (not 2005) Doctor Who back again but we don’t really get that.
So I guess the question is this, carry on declining or pause and reevaluate. Or just plain stop before it gets worse. I love this show like everyone here but I don’t want to see it decline in quality.
Anyway just some thoughts
Do people think that Marge without pearls looks weird because we’ve always been used to them, or because we just intrinsically know something is missing? What are your thoughts? Or do you think she doesn’t look like she’s really missing anything at all?
If you suspect you have disk rot it is best to do the following:
r
A
B
2
To keep your disks in best condition then keep them in a location between 10-25 degrees and that doesn’t experience rapid temp changes, that has 20-50% humidity, site in a (preferably jewel case) case that will minimalist light exposure.
If you suspect you have disk rot before posting “have I got disk rot” posts, consider the following:
-what advantage does it have you getting an opinion on this? How will it change the above outcome
-have you ever seen this community agree that a post is definitely disk rot? and therefore how accurate is it?
I know this won’t stop you but hey it’s worth a try.
Hi all looking for the best way to print directly onto disks, without spending a fortune
Just wondering how other people feel about Inland Empire
Hi all, just reaching out for advice. We have the shower above which was in when we moved in 6 years ago. It’s been running extremely hot and the. Extremely cold and then repeat the cycle. and this has been going on a while now (2 years). When showering we basically have to wait to one side for that 20-30 seconds rather than freeze or get scolded. We live in a house with hard water. It’s not happening all the time but 80+ of the time. We replace the shower head and hose regularly and let it run occasionally (what can be described as being like black sand has come out of it before)
We want to replace the shower itself but I guess I’m just asking will this fix the problem or is the root cause like to be before the actual shower unit. Getting a plumber out to check it out is difficult they just don’t have the time and those that have honestly don’t come across like they have a clue.
There is no doubt these 2 movies are a hard watch with a number of very hard triggers I will not go into here. Despite the subject matter and the methodology of the filmmaking, the films are an extremely intricate and careful portrayal of the subject and subject matter. Lars Von Trier himself is a controversial individual to say the least and whilst I would say the films themselves are very controversial, he has tried to remove all fetishes and sensationalism from this to examine the characters and urge understanding.
I don’t expect others to agree, just saying my thoughts.
Enjoy.
