CSE Core vs CSE (AI & ML) – Which branch should I choose in 2026?

Hi everyone,

I'm joining BTech this year and have the option to choose between CSE Core and CSE (AI & ML).

My goal is to get a good software engineering job (SDE) after graduation. I'm also interested in AI/ML, but I don't want to limit my opportunities if companies prefer CSE Core.

A few questions:

  • Is there any difference in placements between CSE Core and AIML?
  • Do companies allow AIML students to sit for all CSE placements?
  • Is AIML too specialized compared to CSE Core?
  • Which branch would you choose if your goal is maximum career flexibility?
  • Any seniors who graduated from AIML—did you face any disadvantages during internships or placements?

College is a private university in India, and both branches have almost the same syllabus in the first year.

Would appreciate advice from students, graduates, or recruiters. Thanks!

How to save the reputation of Bullet 350?

Bullet has been and is being more categorised in "dhakkad" category in which thar is already infamous.
Thar being such a capable vehicle is nothing more than a 'road presence' car.

Made a short beat, kindly rate it 🥀

Kindly provide me feedback what can be made better in this track. Its pretty short but yeah...
Also I am a beginner in FL Studio.
In this track I mixed some Indian sitar, with bass guitar and a steel guitar. Along with that used an 808 with snares and claps to add the snappy type beat in the bgm.

Also in the video the quality not much clear, in reality the prod tag and other things are clearer than they are in the video.
