Chelan Sawtooths - early October?

Hi all - I am hoping to be able to do some backpacking in the Sawtooth Mountains near Chelan sometime this early fall. Unfortunately, I’m probably not going to be able to go until early October. I just wanted to ask if anybody has any experience hiking in that area at that time of year, as I know that early snowstorms and cold temperatures are not uncommon.

Thank you!

Actively tearing my hair out with ChatGPT 5.6

The formatting is horrendous: choppy paragraphs, orphaned dialogue, ping-pong dialogue, 1-sentence paragraphs.

I have given it strict instructions on how to write prose. I’m ignored EVERY TIME.

I’ve never been so frustrated or had so much trouble with a GPT before. I can’t take it anymore. I’m jumping ship. Anyone else having these problems? Any recommendations on what I could switch to?

EDIR: to the people DMing me to advertise their own AIs, please stop.

Wellbutrin making POTS worse?

I took Wellbutrin XL 150 mg for about a month. It didn’t help my fatigue in any meaningful way, and I started having some really uncomfortable side effects, including heart palpitations, chest tightness, brain fog, exhaustion, and generally feeling physically awful. I noticed that I felt much better after accidentally skipping a dose, so I stopped taking it after talking with my doctor.

I’m now six days off Wellbutrin, but instead of steadily improving, I’ve been feeling worse again. Today I had what seemed like an extremely severe orthostatic episode when I got out of bed. My heart started pounding, I became short of breath, dizzy, nauseated, and felt like I might faint. My brain also felt completely scrambled. Lying down helped the chest pain and some of the other symptoms, but I have never had a POTS-like episode this bad before.

I know Wellbutrin affects norepinephrine, and I’m wondering whether it may have aggravated my autonomic symptoms or whether the adjustment after stopping it could still be affecting me six days later.

Has anyone else with POTS or orthostatic intolerance had Wellbutrin make their symptoms substantially worse? If so, did symptoms continue or temporarily worsen after you stopped it, and roughly how long did it take you to return to your previous baseline?

This medication makes me feel like I’m dying.

I’ve been on Wellbutrin for about 40 days. I was taking it for fatigue and depression.

But right now I’m having horrible heart palpitations, awful chest tightness, horrendous fatigue, shortness of breath, brain fog, dizziness, and a feeling of faintness. It feels like I’m dying. I can’t get out of bed.

All my vitals are normal. I can’t take this anymore.

Did anyone else have this experience?

Does this sound like Hashimoto’s?

Hey folks, I’m back. 26F, recently diagnosed.

For the last few weeks, I’ve been more tired than I’ve ever been in my life. I’m basically bedridden now.

But I’ve started to experience:
- normal heart rate but feeling of heart pounding much harder (when standing, sitting, and lying down)
- mild dizziness/lightheadedness
- occasional shortness of breath
- puffy face

Now I know that a lot of those symptoms track with dehydration, but I’m hydrated. All my nutrient levels are normal; ferritin is great; insulin and glucose fine. Thyroid hormones fine. Waiting on antibody panel.

I’m just curious if this tracks with anyone else’s experience of Hashimoto’s?

Thank you!

EDIT: antibody panels are back! They’re very high on this particular scale.

Normal hormones but high antibodies.

Hello friends, I am a 26-year-old woman who was just recently diagnosed with Hashimoto’s.

I feel absolutely exhausted all the time, have bad brain fog, and memory problems. It’s essentially disabling me, and I can’t hold down a job like this. I’ve never been this sick in my life and I don’t know how much longer I can keep going like this.

Frustratingly, my hormones have all come back normal. My TSH, T4, and free T3 are normal. But my antibodies are quite high.

I really want to ask my primary care physician if I can go on a trial of thyroid medication. But I’m worried that she’s going to say no, because my hormones are normal. That being said, I’ve heard from many people that hormones can be totally normal and you can still be in a flare.

I was wondering if anybody else has been in the situation and got approved for medication, and what your experience has been.

Thank you so much for your time <3
