I really like the melodic death metal these bands do and want to find more similar bands

I very much have to separate art from the artist.

I am a huge black metal/war metal fan and if you know those genres, they tend to have some sketchy bands in them so I am very used to separating art from the artist. For example I love bands like Peste Noire and Reek of the Unzen Gas Fumes!

What do you consider too far when separating art from artists? I’m curious to find out

I personally would say Canada, as it has a bunch of great metal and experimental music coming out from there!

Artists like Tsalal, Rites of thy Degringolade, coffret de bijoux, yienksa, الجن, Crystal Larva. Just to name a few!

I liked bands like:

PeelingFlesh
Onchocerciasis Esophagogastroduodenoscopy
Party Cannon

Where is the music discussion and recommendations? These charts don’t let new music be discovered as they usually feature big albums that most already know.

I know it’s not that big of a deal but this sub has kinda got boring

As someone who has listened to a bunch of music which has tested my limits, I want to know what genre you cannot stand. I’m curious to hear

For me, certain harsh noise is too much

Recently found this band and they seem to have the aesthetics and such but the sound isn't really war metal, more just melodic death metal. Still kicks ass though!
